Team Aspar Announces Hayden Signing and Honda Production Racer

The Kentucky Kid, Nicky Hayden‘s signing with Jorge Martinez’s Team Aspar is now official, with the Spanish team finally confirming news many MotoGP followers were long expecting. Also expected was the announcement that Hayden will compete in the 2014 MotoGP Championship on Honda‘s new production racer (unofficially known as the RCV1000R.) “Thanks to everybody who helped make this happen & my fans still behind me. NHTSA Launches Recall Look-up by VIN Tool

The U.S. Department of Transportation and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration have launched a new free online tool that should make it easier for consumers to inspect their vehicles’ safety recall histories. The new search tool, available at http://www.safercar.gov/vinlookup, allows people to look for recall campaigns by entering Vehicle Identification Numbers.

The Postie Bike Challenge started in 2002 as a one-off event in Brisbane, Australia to prove that small bikes can travel long distances over both asphalt, dirt, sand, or stony surfaces has turned into a 10-day charity event.  The entry fee is $4,000 but almost everything is taken care of, including: Late model Honda CT110 Postie bike (registered to you!) All breakfasts, lunches and dinners All fuel for the trip One way air ticket back to Brisbane Support truck to carry equipment, clothing bag and mechanics Final celebration dinner and hotel accommodation That’s right, you can keep the Honda CT110 Postie bike (designed for commercial and agricultural, also used by Australia Post) but the concept is to give the bike to charity in your name after the event is over, its up to you but more than 90% of the participants do give the bike back. The 2009 Postie Bike Challenge will take place from October 3rd to the 13th and will go from Brisbane to Melbourne, the destination changes every year.  The route taken will be about 2,000 miles (the direct route is about 1,000 miles).  If your interested, get your entry form and deposit in ASAP, last years event was sold out.
