Honda CRF description

2007 Honda CRF450R, Call Jordan (208)201-9890 - Cycle Worlds 2006 MX Bike of the Year. Five years in a row. The CRF450R has won pretty much every honor thrown its way—and it has no plans of letting up. Which is why weve made it even lighter, more responsive and better handling than ever, retooling the cylinder head and intake valves, boosting the carb to 41 mm, and adding a new brake lever linkage to improve stopping power, a new subframe and a Dunlop 742 FA front tire. Wicked, huh? (Price does not include $98 doc fee)

The announcement was made two days before Honda’s third quarter report for the three months ended Dec. 31, 2013, so we will have to wait to hear the financial impact, but based on these numbers, the quarterly report should be positive.

Despite losing the World Supersport title last year to a hard-charging Sam Lowes, Mahi Racing Team India’s Kenan Sofuoglu, aboard his Kawasaki ZX-6R, hasn’t lost any of the pace that has made him the overwhelming favorite heading into 2014. He topped the timesheets on the first day of testing at Phillip Island, setting a time of 1:33.521, putting him at near lap-record pace. Second on the day was Dutchman Michael van der Mark, aboard the Pata Honda CBR600RR.

2014 WSBK – Portimao Results

Mon, 07 Jul 2014

Kawasaki‘s Tom Sykes extended his championship lead while a Race Two collision between Aprilia teammates Sylvain Guintoli and Marco Melandri provided drama in the World Superbike Championship round at Portugal’s Portimao track. Sykes qualified on the pole in a sun-draped Superpole session but the clouds rolled in on race day, forcing teams to plan for mixed weather. An overcast sky presided over a dry Race One, leading to a mix of tire choices but all of the racers switched to wet tires for Race Two that saw the scheduled 20-lap length reduced to 18 laps.
