Honda CRF description

2009 Honda Crf 450R, I am selling my 2009 Honda CRF450R. This bike is extremely clean and have been professionally maintained. I own a shop in Corona and I have completed all the work on the bike. I purchased this bike at a dealer-only auction in July of 2011 as a repo. I have pictures and receipts from the purchase as well as a folder with receipts from all the accessories on the bike. I have a clean California title and it is currently registered. I do not need to sell this bike, I do not have time to ride anymore and hate to see it just sit around. I have put 64 hours on the bike since I have owned it. Top end currently has 12 hours on it and the piston that I pulled out of the bike was OEM Honda and likely the original piston. All hours have been at the track except for one trip to Glamis. Wheels/Tires/Brakes Black Excel Rims Bulldog Heavy Duty Spokes and Spline-Drive Nipples Red Talon Hubs Pirelli MxExtra tires front and rear Galfer Oversize Front Rotor kit Galfer Wave Rear Rotor Galfer Pads front and rear Supersprox front and rear sprockets DID VT2 "T" Ring chain Designs Complete Slide N Glide Kit (chain guide, swing arm slider and roller) Controls/Body Renthal 7/8" Bars - Windham bend Renthal Kevlar Grips Renthal Gen2 Intellilevers - Brake and complete clutch with perch Acerbis Uniko Handguards Acerbis complete plastics Factory Effex Two Two Graphics and FP1 CR22 Seat Cover Acerbis Glide Plate Suspension Suspension has been valved for a fast intermediate level rider. It currently has .50 fork springs and 6.0 rear spring which is perfect for a 210-215lbs rider. I also have the stock front and rear springs. The "free pistons" in the forks have been upgraded to metal SDI ones, the stock plastic ones are known to crack. The rear shock has the Factory Connection "Team" Works Preload rings with bearing and HD bump rubber kit. I also installed the Merge racing linkage knuckle. This chassis is notorious for being horribly unbalanced and after hours and hours of tuning I am finally happy with the way it performs. Engine CP Forged Piston with DLC Coated Pin - 13.5:1 Compression Ratio Head was done previous to my purchase and SS valves installed - Valves have not moved since I have owned it. Stock 2010 Cam with all decompressor components (Easier starting than 2009) Hinson 6-Spring Inner clutch basket and pressure plate Hinson Fibers/plates/springs Yoshimura RS-4 Complete SS Exhaust System Brand new "updated" fuel pump (maybe 4 hours on it so far) Engine has always had Bel Ray Full Synthetic engine and trans oil Engine Ice 50/50 Pump 91/100 Octane or pump 91 with a quality octane booster I have spared no expenses with this bike. There are no issues what-so-ever. Bike is ready to ride or race. Feel free to call or text Brandon at (951) 452-7554 with any questions. $4,500.00 9514527554

MotoGP should return to Suzuka

Thu, 14 Jul 2011

Suzuka was always one of the great circuits; unfortunately the Japanese track was dropped following the tragic death of Daijiro Kato in 2003 as the course was deemed too tight and dangerous for the rapid four-strokes. Owned by Honda, Suzuka is a magical place combining arching S-bends from the start of the lap, high-speed in the middle and finished off with the technical and oft racing deciding final chicane, the location of many fantastic last lap battles. However the death of Kato, and Honda’s major hope of a Japanese champion, placed a dark cloud over the 5.807 kilometres of tarmac.

2013 AIMExpo: Skidbike

Mon, 21 Oct 2013

One of the most inventive devices seen at this week’s AIMExpo is the Skidbike, a novel creation that helps teach riders the skills to balance and to master threshold braking. It’s a Swedish/American invention originally designed to educate riders how to sufficiently apply brakes to avoid an accident without the danger of tipping over and causing injuries. It uses an electrically operated hydraulic ram built on a hinged dolly to reduce front-tire grip, which drastically reduces speeds when traction is lost so riders can learn how to use the brakes effectively.

Honda Personal Mobility Concept U3-X [video]

Wed, 05 May 2010

Using technology derived from the ASIMO bi-pedal humanoid robot, Honda has developed a new personal mobility concept called the U3-X. If this proves successful, owners may never have to walk again. Check out a video of the U3-X in action below the jump.
