Honda CRF description

I'm selling my CRF, nice condition overall. I have owned it since 2008 and have taken very good care of it over the years. I'm selling this bike to buy a new bike next year. This bike has ALWAYS been properly maintained. I work as a bike mechanic and do all the work myself according to the Factory Service Manual. Oil is always changed every other ride and air filter is checked every ride and cleaned at least every ride or every other ride.

I rebuilt the entire motor 2 years ago and it has maybe 15 hours on it since then. The motor has never blown up, all rebuild have been done a preventative maintenance. Maybe 40 hours ago the bike had a complete valve job done. Valves have just been checked and are spot on. Has plenty of time left on the head before new valves will be needed.

The subframe is slightly tweaked, but nothing that bad. Head pipe is dented a bit, this is not the exhaust from it though. I had FMF on it from when I got it, and sold the stock exhaust to pay for the FMF. Of course, I sold the FMF to a friend and he gave me his crappy head pipe from it. (I regret that decision to this day but oh well)

Bike is mostly stock except for Works Connection Radiator Braces, Pro Circuit clutch cover and Hammerhead chain case saver. The suspension is set up for 180lb B rider, rear shock has been lower 1 inch.

*********** Please note two things about this bike, #1 it does not have a title, I bought if from a good friend and I know there is nothing fishy with it. I will give you VIN so you can verify. #2 The bike on initial start up with smoke a bit of oil, its only the valve stem seals. Its alot of work to replace just those seals and it has no affect on the bike.************

I really hate to get rid of the bike because it has been the best bike I have owned so far, but its time to move onto something new. Please feel free to contact me to see the bike in person. I do require $250 down within 48 hours and rest can be paid in cash or Paypal within 7 days. Thanks

2012 Honda Gold Wing Tour: Part 4

Fri, 20 May 2011

Yesterday aboard the 2012 Honda Gold Wing was quite an eye opener. I had shared my impressions of some of the upgrades to the new Wing in blog posts earlier in the week (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3), but these focused mostly on some comfort and convenience updates and the bike’s ability to eat up open stretches of pavement. But on this day we put the Wing to a completely different test: the Tail of the Dragon, US 129 in North Carolina.

Get On Africa: Blog One

Wed, 06 Apr 2011

It's not every day you get to bomb around a field that was set aside for The Pope but that's exactly what we've done this morning; the first proper day of our Get On Africa adventure. We started the morning at the Riders for Health workshop where the mechanics took us through their setup and maintenance program for their bikes. The celebs ran through the basics of bike maintainance, the mechanic boasted that bikes never come back to the workshop broken, they just come in for scheduled servicing.

Church of MO: 1996 Honda Helix

Sun, 31 Oct 2021

The Honda Helix came to the US in 1986 and ran `til 2007; MO gave it the old once-over 25 years ago. With its long wheelbase and massive 244 cc performance, the Helix achieved cult status in Japan, and weenie status here in the land of the free. Hey, it was 1996!
