Honda CL description

1975 CL360 scrambler. Bike had 6600 miles on it when I got it last fall but had been sitting for years.

I stripped it to nothing and went new everything. All black parts were professionally powder coated. All new bearings, spokes, tires, chain, sprockets, sprocket bushings in the hub, seat, shocks, mufflers, petcock, gas cap,  new vm30 mikuni's and pod filters. New bars, levers, grips, throttle cables and an antigravity battery hidden under the seat. Forks were completely rebuilt with new fork seals and dust covers. Frame was de-tabbed and added a loop on the rear. Tank had some rust inside but I got it all cleaned and coated the inside. Only thing I did to the motor was powder coat the outer covers. Cylinders have 170-175psi of compression. All new gas lines, breathers and ground wire.

Bike is very minimal now. Fog light hidden in a crf110 front plate, led strip tail light, no signals and the plate is hidden above the rear wheel. No extra switches just turn the gas and key on! Bike runs very well. I have a lot of time tuning the carbs and making it run right.  Countless hours and a pile of money in this bike but I have my eye on another one right now.

Feel free to message me for any more info.

Traction control? Yawn...

Tue, 10 Jan 2012

My long-term Fireblade went back to Honda last week and, seeing as it’s sunny and mild outside now, I’m already missing it. It is one of the best 1000cc sports bikes out there, I don’t care what anyone else says, the way it makes its power is just perfect for fast road use. With the Power Commander 5 fitted and the fuelling sorted my 2011 Blade performed as well if not better than the 2012 version.

Yamaha riders Jorge Lorenzo and Ben Spies each crashed but both riders deemed the third and final day of MotoGP testing in Malaysia a success. Lorenzo and Spies both crashed during the morning of the test but were unhurt. Despite the minor setback, both riders managed to get a lot done at the Sepang International Circuit.

Hero MotoCorp Launches 125cc Ignitor in India

Tue, 03 Jul 2012

Hero MotoCorp has launched the Ignitor, a 125cc premium model based on the CBF Stunner from former partner turned rival Honda. The Ignitor is one of the final models Hero will produce with technology licensed from Honda, and it is expected to bridge the gap before Hero introduces its own new models (with help from a gentleman named Erik Buell.) Like the Stunner, the Hero Ignitor is powered by a 125cc single-cylinder engine. Both models claim 11hp and 8 ft-lb., but the Ignitor reaches its peak torque at 5000 rpm while the Stunner has to spin up to 6500 rpm.
