Honda CL description

You are looking at a 99% complete as far as I can tell (no tool kit) 1972 Honda CL350 Scrambler with a title!

This would make a great winter restoration or cafe racer project.

The biggest issue is the gas tank. It is very rusty inside as you can see in the photo but the tank is very solid and not rusted through. You could clean it if you have the capability.

Kicks over with very good compression. Rolls nicely and does go into gear. The seat is in very good shape with no visible holes or tears. I did clean up just a little of the chrome in some spots to see how it would clean up. As expected is has the typical rust and oxidation from sitting for so long.

Again I do have the title and in my name. I was not planning on selling which is why I paid to have it transferred in my name but I bought a "toy" and decided to sell this bike so the wife wouldn't get too mad at me!

If you are going to go the "cafe" route with the bike and would not want the exhaust I would remove it and sell the bike for $80 less.

If you have any questions, please ask!

If you would like to inspect the bike prior to the sale please contact me asap but I can not guarantee someone will not buy it prior to inspection.

I prefer local pick up with cash in hand.

If you wish to have the bike shipped you must pay for and set up everything with a shipping company at your cost.

I would accept a partial deposit through paypal due within 48 hours. The remaining amount can be paid in cash or a certified USPS mail order/cashiers check. Bike will not be shipped until full payment is received.

Day 11 Dakar 2014: Coma Wins, Extends Overall Lead

Thu, 16 Jan 2014

Day 11 marked the longest stage to date of the Dakar Rally, as the competitors tackled the 605km (376 miles) special stage, covering a variety of terrain, hard ground, mountains, plus 120km (75 miles) of sand and dunes in the Copiapo area. Despite this, and a fall at the beginning of the stage, Marc Coma again demonstrated his status as boss of the Dakar 2014, by picking up his third victory of the year, further reinforcing his position at the top of the general standings. Five-time Dakar winner Cyril Depres opened the piste for 400km before dropping slightly to finish just 02:31 behind Marc Coma in first.

Buying countless tatty bikes. And that Marquez fella

A South African friend of mine called Trevor Binder told me last weekend I’m quite obviously in the advanced stages of a terrible disease. He recognises the affliction because he admits to suffering from the same condition for many years and so far hasn’t found a cure.  He says he can’t stop collecting bikes and while I didn’t think I had a problem, last weekend he pointed out I should be careful as I’m starting to acquire bikes at an alarming rate. I wasn’t really worried about spending a modest amount of cash an old KTM 125 race bike, a 350 LC and a Fizzy over the past six months but Trevor says I’m on a slippery slope.  He says it always starts with bikes that have some sentimental value but then swiftly moves on to buying any old tat.  Trevor is a wealthy man with dozens of nice bikes in his collection but more recently has been on Gumtree bidding for £150 Solex front wheel drive step - thrus, and doesn’t know why.  Closer to home, James Whitham has recently confirmed he may also have these symptoms and is actively seeking therapy.  I’ll be monitoring the situation from now on but in the meantime if anyone hears of a reasonably priced Raleigh Wisp for sale please let me know.
