Honda CL description

Nice vintage 68 Honda bike, looks nice and runs good. Hadn't run it in 9 months, I charged the battery and put in fresh gas, started up with about 10 kicks. As a daily rider note, it starts with 2 kicks usually all the time. Front tire a bit dry. Turn signals are slow slow. Bike runs good, but sometimes when you ride it for a few miles at a set speed, sometimes it stalls out. Then it starts right back up about 30 seconds later and runs another mile or so and does it again. Not sure if that is a fuel or electrical deal. Leaks a tiny bit of oil when sitting for awhile. Everything else seems real good with it running and functioning. Some of midsection red paint has been sprayed over with a darker red as seen, the rest of the red seems original. Not sure if tank has been painted, but it likely has been, and it looks good, not real glossy though. Local sale preferred. If not, buyer is responsible for all pick up and costs for pick up. Deposit of $300 by paypal right away, balance of payment in 7 days. I have the Michigan title, it has owners name from before, and his signature when selling for a price of $275.  I never titled it. It is not filled out or signed on the back by me, so it is good to go. Please email questions, thanks for looking.

McGuinness to Race Honda CBR500R at 2013 Isle of Man TT

Wed, 06 Mar 2013

Honda is serious about showing off the racing prowess of the CBR500R. Sharing much of the same components as its siblings the CB500X and CB500F, it’s easy for critics to question whether the CBR500R is worthy of the CBR designation. The first thing Honda did to try to dispel those worries is to secure the CBR500R as the spec race bike for the 2013 European Junior Cup, a racing series for youths held at select rounds of the World Superbike Championship.

Honda Announces 400cc Version of 500-Series Engine

Tue, 05 Feb 2013

Honda has revealed a new, smaller-displacement variation of the 470cc parallel-twin engine introduced on its new CBR500, CB500F and CB500X models. The new engine has a bore of 67mm, just like Honda‘s 500-series engine, but a stroke of 56.6mm instead of the longer 66.8mm. The result is an engine displacement of 399cc, which makes the new engine a better fit for markets such as Japan license restrictions are much stricter for engines larger than 400cc.

2014 WSBK – Donington Results

Mon, 26 May 2014

Tom Sykes and Loris Baz captured a pair of one-two finishes for Kawasaki at England’s Donington Park. The first race saw the reigning World Superbike champion fight his way up from 11th place for the win while Race 2 offered a three-way battle between the two Kawasaki riders and Aprilia‘s Sylvain Guintoli.
