Honda CL description

My 1965 Honda CL 72 250cc Street Scrambler is a very collectible version of this famous model produced between 1962-1965. It has the straight-through exhaust system, the small brake drums and the shorter rear fender. This model is very desirable as it was the last of the 250s with the above mentioned items. I also have the internal baffle for each pipe that go with the bike.

As the photos show it is in pristine condition, has new tires, brakes, chain and sprockets, wheel bearings, brake cables, throttle cable, speedometer and cable, fuel petcock rebuilt, clutch rebuilt, engine rebuilt, transmission rebuilt, new fork seals, air filters, new battery, valves lashed, timing set, carbs synced and rebuilt along with anything that need replacement or chroming. I did not ride this bike until it was in "as new condition", fully serviced and roadworthy.

The paint is excellent as the photos show, there are three very small dents on the right side of the gas tank noticeable only in certain light. All fasteners, hardware, electrical and running gear are correct for this bike.

Everything on the bike works, it runs and shifts as it should and of course has that great scrambler sound! I drove it over 150 miles before I put it on display in my home. I fueled it today, turned on the gas valve, choked it and it started on the second kick. Whether you plan to show this bike, drive it around the neighborhood or on the street it is sure to get attention.

This is one of the nicest examples of this vintage scrambler and will only go up in value. I am downsizing my home so I am selling my collection of bikes and cars. This bike will make for fun conversation wherever is is ridden or shown.

I have a clear title in hand, and I can assist with shipping and storage for up to a month once the bike is paid. Shipping costs are the buyers expense. The bike is sold as is with no warranty and you are welcome to inspect it anytime during the auction.

I will not accept any bids from buyers with less then 10 transactions in their history or any negative feedback unless they call me first before bidding and we discuss their situation.

This is a "no reserve" auction so the highest bidder will own this beautiful piece of motorcycle history.

WSBK: 2012 Donington Results – Video

Mon, 14 May 2012

BMW earned its first-ever World Superbike race win at the U.K.’s Donington Park, but missed out on sweeping the round after teammates Leon Haslam and Marco Melandri crashed on the final corner while battling for the lead in the second race. Melandri earned BMW its landmark first win in Race One leading Haslam in a one-two finish. They could have repeated that finish in Race Two but Haslam low-sided after making contact with Honda‘s Jonathon Rea trying to pass on the inside.

And a few models such as Honda’s NC700S and X, Kawasaki’s Versys 1000 and CRP’s Energica were unveiled without heavy prior fanfare, but gasps of surprise weren’t heard when the wraps were taken off Triumph’s Tiger 1200 Explorer, Husqvarna’s Nuda or MV Augusta’s F3 675 among others, whose existences were revealed months in advance of the show. What we’ve comprised below is our list Top 10 Bikes unveiled at EICMA that didn’t receive top billing but are certainly worthy of your attention.

Rossi runs special Simoncelli tribute helmet

Sun, 06 Nov 2011

During the 10 o'clock trial laps today, Valentino ran with a new helmet dedicated to his friend Marco Simoncelli. To demonstrate how much Valentino was affected by the tragedy that hit the Honda rider, Valentino's helmet will be divided in half: the front part of the AGV GP-Tech will be exactly like Marco Simoncelli's, with its red and white motif and ever present number 58, while the back will maintain the colours Valentino used throughout the 2011 season. Vale will use the helmet for all of Valencia's weekend.
