1979 Honda Cbx1000 6 Cylinder Candy Glory Red Original Superbike on 2040-motos
Honda CBX tech info
Honda CBX description
1979 Full Power Honda CBX 6 cylinder
Totally original bike with no issues. Very early serial # (605) which was delivered with the smooth cylinder studs. This bike is a very well kept example, has been cleaned and recommissioned to be ridden and or shown as desired. Correct seat, exhaust, shocks, turnsignals etc. Bike has been fitted with the desirable 'sports handling kit' please check out the pictures. I thought about changing the studs as this was a factory recall by Honda, but decided to leave the original ones in as it is part of this bike's history. Replacing the studs can be done with the engine in place, and a complete set of updated studs will go with the bike, as does a manual, tool kit as delivered from the factory. If the bike is to be displayed or shown, the smooth studs are a talking point.
I can assist with shipping the bike overseas. Have shipped bikes to Australia, Denmark, Norway, South America and the UK. Please make sure you have your shipping details sorted before bidding, as asking me to arrange everything after you have bought the bike is NOT really the way to do these transactions, especially if the subsequent shipping costs are higher than you may have been expecting...
If you are looking at this auction then you probably already know what a CBX is. This one is ALL original, with correct hardware, correct (and rebuilt) carbs, paintwork in great shape, no rust in tank, no rust anywhere, brakes function correctly, engine runs good, with the correct 422 original exhausts and the sport kit. If I part this bike out, it will make over $15000 in parts, but that would be criminal in my mind. I am reserving this bike sensibly; those of you that think an original and correct CBX in good running order can be bought for $7000 please bring them to me, I will buy each and every one.
Any questions please email me though ebay, I have 100% feedback and am proud of that. I have owned and built dozens of CBX's and this one is one of the nicest. And it's red so its fast!

NZ Superbike Series Points Leader Is A Grandfather Of Three!
Tue, 14 Jan 2014Dennis Charlett is stamping his authority on the New Zealand Superbike championship. The 45 year-old father of five and grandfather of three (no, those aren’t typos) won the first three races of the season during the series opener in Christchurch, placing him firmly at the top of the points standings heading into round two at Levels Raceway, near Timaru. The championship favorite certainly got the wake-up call as Taupo’s Suzuki rider Scott Moir raced to a convincing win in Saturday’s Superbike race, while Charlett was forced to settle for fourth place.
