Honda CBR description

This is an extremely Rare Honda CBR 1000. I have owned this motorcycle since 2004 but it has been stored a lot over the years because of me being out of the country and because I own another bike. It has less than 10K miles on her. When it was being stored, it was tipped over on the right side and has a few scratches on the side. It was also backed into by a truck when it was in a parking lot so the right muffler has a dent and a few scratches on the left side sticker. I had the carbs cleaned last year but it will need to be done again. It starts but when you throttle; it cuts off. It cost around $200-300. The front screen and back fairing have been cut by previous owner for less drag I believe. Small tear in seat.  I am willing to sell the trailer with the bike for an additional $1500 (I will include a small motorcycle wheel "stand" that is bolted to the trailer...also has new wheel bearings on both wheels). I may also be able to deliver for $1 a mile if needed but please plan on your own transportation unless agreed to. Please come by and take her for a ride. Sold AS IS...has the wear of something with this many years. I am finally putting her up for sale to pursue a business opportunity...

May end auction at any time since it is advertised on other sources and offered locally...

Title in hand ready for new owner.

Honda MotoGP Production Racer Undergoes Testing at Motegi

Mon, 27 May 2013

Development of Honda‘s new production racer is well underway, as the new (relatively) low-cost MotoGP racebike underwent testing at Japan’s Twin Ring Motegi circuit May 23-24. Conceived as a lower-cost option for race teams, the production racer project is running slightly behind schedule but Honda still expects it will available in time for the 2014 MotoGP season. Early reports estimate the price for the production racer to be around US$1.26 million, a substantial price, but still considerably less expensive than rumored $3.9 million it currently costs to lease a Honda RC213V for one season.

Honda is recalling over 20,000 Shadows in the US

Fri, 29 Jan 2016

Honda is recalling 22,142 motorcycles from shipments produced between 2010 and 2016. The reason was the vibration from the engine, which over time leads to chafing of the fall sensor wire in the common harness. Dealers promise to move the wire to another location and replace the sensor free of charge.

Wed, 30 Jun 2010

With the two test riders coming forward to act as replacement riders for the injured Rossi and Aoyama, it brought back memories of the days when the grid would be gifted with wildcard riders from the respective countries. The Japanese rounds were always attended by some of the top guys with experience of the 500GP and MotoGP bikes, through racing them in their domestic championships. What resulted was getting to witness the exciting and talented Japanese riders, and bring new riders to the attention of the teams.
