Honda CB description

Hello and welcome to the auction for my 1989 Honda GB500 factory cafĂ© racer in stunning condition with only 7891 original miles. This GB500 fires up with the electric start or you can use the kick starter and warms up quickly and also has a very nice growl thanks to the custom exhaust system, also the bike runs through all 5 gears flawlessly. The original paint still holds a very high luster and looks excellent, The chrome is excellent, the aluminum wheels, side cases and forks looks great and show very little wear considering the bikes age. The seat is perfect, and the rear cowl is in very good condition  and is not cracked but it does show signs of stress by the right side bolt. All lights, gauges and controls look very nice and  function perfectly. The only flaw on the bike is a very small ding on the side of the tank that will not show up in the picture (see picture). The tires look good and have plenty of tread but I'm not sure how old they are, but they feel great on the street. The engine is completely stock and sounds excellent!!! Bike has always been stored in a climate controlled environment and has always been well cared for and has aged very gracefully.  This bike will be sold with a complete tool kit, 2 sets of keys, and a clean / clear Massachusetts title and bill of sale form. Bike needs absolutely nothing and is ready to go!!!!!!

This Honda GB500 has been fitted with a very unique Jack Batson stainless exhaust system that weighs only 7 pounds and has been properly jetted with a adjustable Factory Pro Jet kit, and also the smog equipment has been removed. This exhaust and jetting has turned this little kitty cat of a bike into a lion and runs and rides amazing and will be sure to impress, but it is a little loud. Considering I have owned and ridden many GB500's and this one really stands alone in the performance department and I really had no idea that this would really wake up this little bike. When riding the bike you can putt around as slow as you want , but when you give it the juice the carb kicks in like an old 4 barrel carb and that's when the WOW factor sets in. I understand that many people want these bike in there stock form so I will include all the original parts with the bike if desired. Here is what will come with the bike, the original and complete exhaust system, factory mirrors, smog pump and grips. I do not have the original bar ends but there easy to find. If you would like I will gladly change the exhaust over to the original with a supertrapp muffler to compensate for the jetting. If this is the case I will include the factory muffler. I will not re jet this bike because I am not a carb pro by any means. The Jack Batson exhaust I will save for my other Honda GB500 if you choose to have the factory exhaust re installed. This bike is extremely impressive with the exhaust system and runs out very strong. If you go back to the original system you may find the bike to be very tame and 20-30 pound heavier.

If you need shipping I will help in anyway I can but the cost is the buyers expense. If you are shipping payment will be in the form of a certified bank check. If you are picking up in person payment will be in the form of cash. Bike and paperwork will not leave me until payment is received and cleared by my bank. My reserve is set to a very reasonable amount considering the bikes condition and modifications. If you have any questions regarding this fine Honda GB500 please feel free to contact me via email and leave me your contact information or call Rob @ 860 559-4869. If you are local and would like to see the bike in person you are more than welcome. Please do not bid unless you plan to pay for the bike. This is your chance to own a very rare original motorcycle in excellent condition with low miles so don't pass this one up. This is a true collectable Japanese motorcycle known for it's cult status. Enjoy the pictures and happy bidding!!!!!!

I also have a fully professionally restored 1965 Honda CB160 coming soon. This is a full nut and bolt restoration and 99% of the parts used in the restoration are new old stock parts. This bike is most likely one of the nicest in the country. Not included in this auction. If you have any questions please contact me. Thanks.

Ronax 500 – the Street Legal Two-Stroke GP Replica

Mon, 09 Jun 2014

After teasing us for nearly two months, German brand Ronax has revealed its 500cc two-stroke sportbike. Ronax isn’t saying it’s a street-legal replica of the Honda NSR500 that Valentino Rossi rode to win the 2001 Grand Prix world championship – probably because they legally can’t – but that’s essentially what the 500 is.
