1979 Triumph Bonneville (1979)
1979 Triumph Bonneville 750. Very original with matching numbers. New tires, clutch, shocks and rebuilt transmission. Nice repaint and chrome is good but not show quality. Previous owner cut off the mufflers so it will be necessary to replace headers to reattach the mufflers. Bike has not been started for 18 months so it will need some maintenance to get it running right. I did keep fresh gas in the tank. Odometer shows 9600 miles which I was told was correct. Sold with Bill of Sale. Bike registered and tagged in GA, but no title. Bike is located in Griffin, GA. 1979 Triumph Bonneville (1979)
Up for auction is a very clean and all original 1979 Triumph Bonneville, again, due to a non paying buyer!!!!!! DO NOT BID IF YOU ARE GOING TO CHANGE YOUR MIND, DON'T HAVE THE MONEY, DON'T KNOW HOW TO WORK ON BIKES, HAVE NO WAY OF COLLECTING SAID BIKE, ETC !!!!!! I recently purchased the bike from the second owner who bought it in 1991. He bought it to replace his black 79 Bonneville that he sold to purchase a Moto Guzzi. He never rode the bike and it lived in his basement where he literally polished it. The bike is as I bought it-the paint on the frame is IMMACULATE, never re-sprayed, no scratches, very nice. The engine kicks over, the transmission shifts through all the gears, no known mechanical issues. Mileage is only 4,124 miles and the current condition of the bike leads me to believe this is 100% accurate. The bike comes with everything shown on in the pictures, which includes Euro tank, US Spec tank, US bars, Euro bars currently on it, stock rear sprocket, exhaust pipes that are BRAND new in the wrapper-please note that the discoloration is on the plastic, not the pipes themselves, owners manual, tool kit, mufflers, and a bunch of period Triumph literature. There is one shot that shows how the bike should look all assembled in the correct color scheme. The paint on the Euro tank is just a close-ish match rattle can job to keep it from rusting-the inside of the tank is SPOTLESS-please note that is overspray in the tank, not rust scale. The US spec tank-it looks like it might have been stored in direct sunlight as it is faded. I originally thought someone tried to do some yellow to orange to red sunburst theme but it is faded. The side covers are not cracked/chipped/damaged in any way at all. The chrome on this bike is in fantastic shape.2016-06-17 05:01:35Eden, New York, United States411000 -
1979 Triumph Bonneville (1979)
1979 Triumph Bonneville Special T140D I bought this a couple years ago after it sat for a few years under a tarp in southern California. After a complete flush, service, carburetor cleaning and a new battery it fired up and ran great. To make it ride able the rear brake master cylinder, drive chain, front wheel bearings and fork tubes were replaced. I rode this all last summer and a few times this spring. It’s a great running and fun to ride bike. I had planned to do more clean-up work on it but there’s a new baby coming so I need the money and won’t have time for it now. It needs some cosmetic clean-up, the engine cases need cleaned and polished and some of the chrome is pitted from sitting so long. It still has the original paint and the factory seat is in great shape.2016-06-16 05:03:34Idaho Falls, Idaho, United States63,200.00 -

Triumph Bonneville Special 1979 Crate Fresh only 1370 miles (1979)
Beautiful 1979 Bonneville Special Very low miles, only 1362 orginal miles The T140 Bonneville arrived in 1973, a 750cc adaptation of the 650cc T120 Bonneville. Featuring a five-speed transmission, the 750cc T140 was a direct response to the popularity of 750cc bikes from Honda and the other Japanese manufacturers, which precipitated declining sales of the T120. Between 1973 and 1980, the T140 underwent many running changes, several to accommodate ever-stricter requirements in the United States, and was released in several special editions. The engine featured revised cylinder heads and new Amal carburetors.2013-10-22 00:18:08Mississauga, ON, CA1,3626,499.00 -

2024 Honda Transalp Review – First Ride
Fri, 03 Nov 2023A European staple comes to America Photos by Align Media/Honda Adventure bikes weren’t really a thing in 1989, at least not in the United States. Even BMW’s venerable GS was nothing more than a misunderstood, oversized dual-purpose machine with ties to the Paris-Dakar rally, which itself was only a little more than a decade old at the time. At the back of the dealership where I worked in 1991, parked next to the tire rack, languished a 1989 Honda XL600V Transalp.
