1983 Honda CB1000C. Paint and side covers are in amazing condition.
Look a the pictures. Usually the side covers are missing or damaged but
these are awesome. Everything works. Runs excellent and starts
immediately. Can ride it home. Have done the following in the last
month:
-Fresh full synthetic oil change and filter -Brand new battery -Front and rear brake flush -New turn signals, electronic flasher, and headlight -New handlebars and grips Comes with original Hondaline Backrest with storage pouch. Worth $100 on Ebay. If you are not familiar with these it was a 1 year model but shares most of its parts with the previous CB900C so parts are easy to come by. Has a 5 speed transmission with high/low range which is unique. Use low range for spirited riding or around town and high range for cruising. Or you can just leave it in high all the time. The common method is to use low range and then once in 5th shift to high for a 6th cruising gear. Shaft drive with air suspension. US Motorcycle Thefts Down 6% in 2011
Tue, 09 Oct 2012Americans reported 46,667 motorcycle thefts in 2011, a 6% decrease from 49,791 stolen motorcycles in 2010, reports the National Insurance Crime Bureau. Despite the drop in reported thefts, the non-profit organization representing nearly 1100 property and casualty insurance companies says the theft rate still averages out to one motorcycle stolen every 11 minutes in the U.S. The numbers were published in the NICB’s 2011 ForeCAST Report which examined theft reports as well as recoveries.
2013 AMA Supercross Daytona Race Report
Mon, 11 Mar 2013Ryan Villopoto won his fifth main event race of the year at Daytona to take over the lead in the 2013 AMA Supercross championship standings. The win is the third at Daytona in the Monster Energy Kawasaki racer’s career, matching the totals set by Bob Hannah, Mike Kiedrowski, Jeremy McGrath and Chad Reed. Only Ricky Carmichael, who designed the sand-based Daytona track, holds more Supercross wins at Daytona with five victories.
WSBK 2013: Moscow Race Report
Mon, 22 Jul 2013Marco Melandri captured his third win of the season, the Ducati 1199 Panigale scored its first podium while Sylvain Guintoli regained the championship lead despite dislocating his collarbone days before the race. But the big news at Moscow Raceway of course was the tragic death of Andrea Antonelli in the World Supersport race. The opening-lap crash in severely wet conditions naturally led to the cancellation of the rest of the events as the World Superbike community mourns the loss of the 25-year-old Antonelli.
