Honda CB description

A classic 1982 Honda CB900F Super Sport with just under 21400 miles on the odometer (may go up as bike is occasionally ridden). This bike has been very well maintained and looks and runs great. This is a rare opportunity to own the original super bike in the classic Honda racing colors that needs nothing, is ready to ride, and is 100% original (except the battery, tires, and brake pads). This is a partial list of what has been done in the past year that you won't have to do when you bring this bike home:

Service performed at 19000 miles (Sept 2015):
- new Deka AGM battery
- rebuilt front and rear master cylinders
- rebuilt front and rear brake calipers
- new Speigler braided stainless brake lines (vintage black to match the OE lines)
- new front and rear EBC brake pads
- brake rotors resurfaced by TrueDisk
- new front 100/90-19V Shinko 230 Tourmaster tire
- new rear 120/90-18V Shinko 230 Tourmaster tire
- new front and rear wheel bearings
- new Honda sprockets (17/44) and JR chain (530-106)
- new Honda fuel petcock
- rebuilt front forks with new seals and bushes
- new choke cable
- valve clearance service
- oil/filter change
- carburetors synchronized
- air filter/crankcase breather hoses serviced

Anyone interested in an original CB900F will note the outstanding bodywork, an original seat with no splits or tears, a stock HM438 exhaust in excellent condition, and the original unlined gas tank (increasingly difficult to find).  Also included in the sale is the original tool kit, the CB900F owners manual, and the CB900F factory service manual.

eBay limits the number of photos I can show you but you can view an album with more at this link: 1982 CB900F Photo Album

This bike is a survivor but it has been ridden and it is easier to point out the few cosmetic issues that do not affect the operation of the bike:
- minor wear on the handlebar holder where keys dangled during operation
- the clear coat on the alternator is showing its age
- there is a dent in the #2 down pipe (but included in the sale is a very nice replacement)
- the engine paint has lightened over the years

This is a very nice original CB900F that does not look like it is 34 years old. This is a great bike if you like to ride a vintage Honda and don't want to spend $$$ after the purchase of a used bike correcting faded paint, replacing worn tires, trying to find an original exhaust, or just taking care of the regular maintenance of everything that a vintage bike needs done. If you want a project then this is not your bike, if you want to ride and enjoy a classic Honda for years to come, this might be perfect for you.
