Honda CB tech info
Honda CB description
1982 Honda CB650 cafe bobber style air-cooled motorcycle with 2006 Suzuki GSXR front end and steering stabilizer, and hi-end custom race bearings to fit the Suzuki steering stem to the Honda frame. The fork seals and fluid are brand new- just redone about a month ago brand new. The 2006 Suzuki GSXR radial mounted 4-piston brakes clamp onto 310 mm rotors and have GSXR brake master cylinder will ensure you stop in a hurry. With the GSXR suspensions, this bike is light weight and fun to throw into the corners. The wiring on this bike has been completely redone head to toe by an electrical engineer and the charging system is far superior than anything you'll find out most bikes, or some cars for that matter. Has mild wire tuck so you can not see most of the wires for a cleaner look. The powerfull and small lithium battery is hidden under the custom (professionally) made seat. Custom wiring jobs usually eliminate speedometer and other useful info, but this guy really knew what he was doing. The bike still has a working speedometer and tachometer using a halls effect magnet pick up (see pics). It even tells you on the gauge temperature and volts on charging system, and if the blinkers are on, just like OEM gauges. There's over 300 man hours just on this part of the bike. Any mechanic can turn a wrench, but reliable wiring is hard to find. has external connecting ports if you want to hook up a battery tender which I will include which is real nice because you don't have to take off the seat in order to charge the battery. (also see pics) New tires front and rear (see pics) New Roury hand grips New brake/clutch levers New side bar end mirrors. (one is scuffed- see pics) New blinkers front and rear New rear shocks New clutch New oil New gaskets inside top half of engine New Koso gauges New chain -gold New K&N air filters New Hella horn, VERY loud (see pics) LED Hi/low headlight with internal fan for cooling effect, wired up to work with original control boxes from the 82 Honda. The inside of the gas tank has been coated to reduce the possibility of future rust. There is a slight dent on the right side of the tank. (see pics) $4900 Reg paid current and is 100% street legal even in Calif. Very reliable, as I ride it to work every day. Bike has a clean title, which is hard to find on a custom build like this, so you know the frame is straight. I absolutely love this bike unfortunately I am going to have to stop riding due to medical reasons. I hate to see it go but I want to see it go to a good home somebody that will enjoy it. The bike is a little bit lower than usual so anybody with short legs wood truly benefit from this bike if you are at all worried about tipping it over at a stoplight or something that won't be a problem. Be careful going too fast over speed bumps. This bike was done the right way, and I guarantee it will garner a TON of attention wherever you go, so if you don't like answering questions about this bike, don't buy it. Bike will come with professionally drawn up schematics/color-coded wiring diagram for future troubleshooting, should you need it. Local pick-up only $500 deposit due within 48 hours, the rest must be paid in cash or cashier's check, in person at a local bank near my home, zip 95628. You must meet to finalize purchase within 1 week from purchase date. You can ride this home no problem, distance is not an issue, although there is no warranty, so please bring a mechanice with you. I will meet ahead of time if you want but will cost you $30 inspection fee for your mechanic to inspect it to cover my time. If you go ahead and purchase the bike, I will take the $30 off the remainder of the price of the bike of course, so at that point it would be free. I prefer not to ship, so you must arrange anything other than meeting in person ahead of time before you bid if you are out of state. |

Report: Dorna to Replace Superstock Classes with More Stock-Inspired WSBK and New 250cc Class
Mon, 07 Jan 2013The coming World Superbike racing season may be the last to feature Superstock classes as series promoter Dorna tries to differentiate its WSBK and MotoGP properties. According to Italian outlet Motosprint, Dorna plans to rewrite the World Superbike and Supersport class rulebooks for the 2014 season to make the race bikes closer to their respective production models. This would create further separation between WSBK and MotoGP, with Superbike racing moving closer to its production-based roots while prototypes racing in the GP series.
