A friend of mine kept it in his garage for the last two years, and sold it to me to help get his business started. I only had to tinker with it a bit to get it going again, and now its ready to drive out of here! The work on the bike is all very fresh, with no more than 100 miles on any of it. This includes: -Rebuilt and bored from 900cc to 985cc with Wiseco K985 67.5mm pistons, rings, and pins -New clutch basket and plates -New exhaust with Vance and Hines 4-into-1 -New coils -New chain and sprocket -New tires -Forks rebuilt -Carburetor rebuild including cleaning, rejetting (for overbore), and tuning -Repainted tank, forks, side covers, pretty much the whole thing Between the new exhaust and overbore this bike is faster and more powerful than its counterparts, and rides smooth and easy. I would keep it but I already have another older project bike and don't need two hanging around. Marc Marquez Crash Data Analysis From Silverstone
Thu, 05 Sep 2013During warm-up for last weekend’s Silverstone MotoGP race, Repsol Honda rider Marc Marquez crashed between turns seven and eight, losing the front while on the brakes. The fall caused the MotoGP rookie’s shoulder to pop out of its socket, and Alpinestars has released the data from Marquez’ Tech-Air-equipped suit for us to further examine. Looking at the graph below, you’ll see the impact was focused on Marquez’ left shoulder.
2014 HRC Dakar Team Announced
Thu, 30 May 2013Today at Mugello, ahead of this weekend’s MotoGP race at the famous Italian racetrack, Team HRC unveiled its 2014 Dakar team and motorcycle. Interestingly, one person many thought could be a Red Rider this year after leaving KTM, Cyril Despres, will not be riding a Honda next year, instead joining Yamaha’s Dakar effort. However, HRC’s team still features five accomplished riders: Helder Rodrigues (Portugal), Sam Sunderland (UK), Javier Pizzolito (Argentina), Joan Barreda (Spain) and Paulo Goncalves (Portugal), all of whom will be competing on the CRF450 Rally.
Honda Announces Electric Motorcycle Plans
Tue, 13 Sep 2022Carbon neutrality by 2040 Honda announced plans for a carbon neutral future and a goal of introducing 10 or more electric motorcycles by 2025 including three mid-range models and a youth model for North America. Until now, Honda has been very tentative when it comes to electrification, with its main focus being on developing swappable battery packs for electric two-wheelers. Its Japanese counterparts Yamaha and Kawasaki have outlined their own plans, while in North America, Harley-Davidson is days away from finalizing its LiveWire spin-off.
