1980 Honda Cb on 2040-motos
Honda CB tech info
Honda CB description
Very nice survivor. Not show quality but nice for a daily rider.
Seems to have been painted and had decals replaced at some point. Some rust present in gas tank but nothing alarming. Front fender has some pitting and chrome is bad otherwise bike just needs to be cleaned up. Seat appears original with no tears. Previous owner replaced chain and both tires shortly before I bought the bike last November. Like new condition. I replaced the CDI box with a used unit (that's why it was not running) I also installed new master cylinder, throttle cable, and battery. I converted this to a GM coil (Google this conversion-great idea for these twins) Original coil is included in case new owner wants to change it back. Headlight bucket was cracked and repaired with epoxy. Solid but doesn't look like new. I also repaired the tabs holding right side cover also were repaired. Not perfect but not unsightly. I cleaned the carbs and did a fresh oil change with filter last week. Bike is not on road and I have only taken it a few blocks to check it out. Runs smooth, handles sweetly, and shifts through all 6 gears. Clean New York Title. No shipping. Located 2 miles from exit 57 of I-90 New York Thruway. Seller will store up to 30 days and will work with a shipper who picks up bike |

Stafford Bric-a-Brac. Misery and Sadness in excess
Sat, 16 Oct 2010Just got back from the Stafford show. It was packed. Largely with groups of silver-haired men.
BSB 2012; Mystic Mac investigates
Tue, 03 Jan 2012In my opinion, the smartest move in the BSB off season has to be Michael Laverty moving from Swan Yamaha to HM Plant Honda. With a ban on electronics for 2012, and in particular traction control, WFR's Graham Gowland has already proved to Laverty how competitive an EVO spec Fireblade can be - so I’m tipping both these riders to be bang on the money at the Brands Hatch season opener in April. Unlike BMW, Kawasaki and Yamaha, Honda have deliberately developed their road-going Superbike without electronics to give a user friendly feel with good mechanical traction, so it’ll be interesting to see how the opposition copes with their high-tech trickery stripped off.
WSBK 2013: Nurburgring Race Report
Tue, 03 Sep 2013Tom Sykes has taken over the lead in the 2013 World Superbike Championship standings after splitting race victories with Chaz Davies at Germany’s Nurburgring circuit. Both races ended prematurely however with red flags during the final laps. Pata Honda‘s Jonathan Rea and FIXI Crescent Suzuki‘s Leon Camier both crashed on the 18th lap of Race One after running into oil spilled on the track from Pedercini Kawasaki racer Federico Sandi‘s ZX-10R.
