Honda CB description

Nice little Honda CB550K model. This is the last year that Honda made the CB550K single overhead cam motor. This bike is in nice condition. The worst part of this bike is the seat, it is in bad shape. I was going to recover it but never found the time to do it. This bike rides great, everything on the bike works. Running lights, headlight, both high and low beams, turn signals front and rear, tail light and both front and rear brake lights. The only problem is that the charging system is weak. It does charge the battery but not as high as it should. At 4000RPM the battery is at 12.9 to 13 volts where it should be around 14 volts. Might be the regulator but have not checked it out. It charges enough to ride it. There is a small dent on the left side of the tank near the rear. The starter button cover is missing but the starter does work. The mufflers have a few holes here and there. I have patched them and they sound good. The bike will have to be picked up here in western Michigan. Any questions let me know.

We're all doomed...

Wed, 25 Aug 2010

Went to meet Niall Mackenzie at Donington on Saturday. He was doing some one-on-one instruction at a two-day Focused Events track bash, the first to be held at the newly reopened Leicestershire circuit. I was really interested in what they’d done to the track and the new chicane looks the business.

2014 WSBK – Sepang Results

Mon, 09 Jun 2014

The first ever World Superbike round in Malaysia offered a plenty of drama including both factory Kawasaki riders crashing out on the first lap, a red flagged second race and an overall impressive outing by Aprilia. Under pressure for his lack of results so far this season, Marco Melandri impressed, earning the double for his first career wins on the RSV4 Factory. Aprilia riders led every lap in both races at Sepang, including the red-flagged initial start for Race 2, with Sylvain Guintoli joining his teammate on the podium with a pair of second-place finishes.

WSBK 2013: Monza Race Report

Mon, 13 May 2013

Eugene Laverty and Marco Melandri split a pair of victories at Monza but the most biggest news from the World Superbike weekend was a strange series of appeals after Race Two that saw Tom Sykes finish third, relegated to fourth and then reinstated on the final step of the podium. The unusual mix-up occurred after Sykes, sitting in third place, ran off track and into the run off area on Turn 5 on his final lap. The Kawasaki rider returned to the track again in third place where he finished ahead of Aprilia‘s Sylvain Guintoli.
