Honda CB description

1977 Honda CB550 Super Sport. 5114 Miles, absolutely gorgeous bike!!! Totally original except for the tires. I hate to use the term showroom condition, but this is an unbelievable un-restored 550. It looks like it has 50 mile on it not 5000. Always garaged and adult owned. Never been laid down or touched up, even has a lot of the original yellow paint on bolts from the manufacturer. There are small rust holes in the bottom rear of the muffler. Arizona bike from new, now in Houston. Absolutely no issues, new battery, everything in excellent working order. Needs nothing. This is one of the nicest 550 Super Sports you will ever find. Hate to sell from my collection, but it’s time to cut down the inventory. Please call with any additional questions. I can help arrange transportation. Nick 713 -301-10 ninety nine.

As is, no guarantees. I reserve the right to end this auction at any time; bike is also for sale locally. I will not ship the bike. I can help arrange transportation; buyer is responsible for pickup or shipping. I will assist buyer in any way I can.

A real Monster of a bike

Wed, 13 Jun 2012

The bike above was once a Ducati Monster S4. It was restyled by Italian custom builder Ferruccio Codutti who took a year crafting the look out for aluminium for one of his customers. Ignoring the grotesque nose, Codutti's work is impressive as the front end was made by the man himself.

How to solve the mystery of the wildcard replacement

Wed, 30 Jun 2010

With the two test riders coming forward to act as replacement riders for the injured Rossi and Aoyama, it brought back memories of the days when the grid would be gifted with wildcard riders from the respective countries. The Japanese rounds were always attended by some of the top guys with experience of the 500GP and MotoGP bikes, through racing them in their domestic championships. What resulted was getting to witness the exciting and talented Japanese riders, and bring new riders to the attention of the teams.

No snow here folks!

An erratic work schedule combined with a full season of kids racing means, there aren’t many opportunities during the summer months for the Mackenzie family to grab a holiday. Instead, we tend to save our pennies and head off somewhere sunny for Christmas. I love doing this as it shortens the UK winter but more importantly it means I miss the festive frenzy.  I do like Christmas, but I hate how everyone gets caught up in the retail madness that kicks off just before Halloween, then has everyone stressed (and skint)before Santa has even hitched up his sleigh.
