Honda CB description

This is an older custom job on a 1975 750.  I bought this a short time ago because of the uniqueness of the bike.  This was customized about 30 years ago.  The gentleman that customized and owned it, recently passed away.  I purchased it from his family.  I was going to restore it, exactly the way it is but I'm just too busy and I won't have time for this one for quite awhile.  I'll describe the bike the best that I can.  It is an older restoration.  The paint looks to be lacquer and the tank is beginning to crack.  The tank shows some light scuffs and a couple of small dings.  No major dents.   The side cover have chips and cracks.  The engine runs fine.  The bike shows 20,000 plus miles.   The starter button has been moved to a push button on the tree, opposite the key ignition.  The chrome valve cover is in very good condition as is almost all of the chrome.  The air box was replaced with velocity stacks.  The headers are 4 into one but a little faded and with a dent or two.  I found a baffle for the muffler, which quiets it down considerably.  The clutch engages firmly.  Both tires are newer.   It has rear turn signals but removed from the front. This is a nice bike, runs good, could use paint and turn signals for safety.  I took it for a short ride and it runs fine.  But like most bikes that have been sitting for awhile, it should be gone over.  I changed the plugs but will clean the carbs before the auction ends.  If the auction meets the reserve, I'll send the side covers out to be repaired and repainted.  I will palletize and crate this for shipment for 30.00, which is the price of materials.  I prefer local pick up.  Ask any questions, it might take a day or two to respond.  If the bike doesn't sell, it's going to be sent out to be repainted.

AMA Supercross: 2012 New Orleans Results

Mon, 16 Apr 2012

Ryan Villopoto has already secured the 2012 AMA Supercross Championship but that doesn’t mean he’s ready to let up and take it easy over the remainder of the season. The Monster Energy Kawasaki racer clinched his second consecutive title two weeks ago in Houston, Texas, but he continued his dominance in AMA Supercross’ return to New Orleans’ Superdome, taking the holeshot and leading all 20 laps for his ninth win of the season in 14 rounds. The New Orleans round may have lacked some big names currently nursing injuries such as Ryan Dungey, James Stewart and Chad Reed, but Villopoto provided a star effort in the first AMA Supercross race in the city since 2009.

Taliban Magazine Condemns America but Praises Honda

Wed, 11 Dec 2013

Manufacturers are usually glad to hear positive reviews of their products, but we’ve got a feeling Honda is not happy about the ringing endorsement it received from the latest issue of the Taliban-published magazine “Azan“. The English-language magazine is a pro-Jihadist quarterly; pure propaganda designed to recruit impressionable and disillusioned Muslims in the West. It’s somewhat jarring then to find buried within the radical rhetoric a full page spread on a 125cc Honda as one of the Taliban’s “Steeds of War”.

When MotoGP had more money than sense

The year is 2003, there's plenty of cash in MotoGP. AMA Superbike champion Nicky Hayden joins Rossi at Repsol Honda and Biaggi and Ukawa front-up the Camel Honda squad. Exciting times..
