Honda CB description
VERY low reserve! So..., bid to WIN! ***8870 original miles, patina out the yang!*** For sale is this beautiful old motorcycle with lots of character. The bad: The paint is faded and it could use a good scrubbing! Everything else is in real good shape considering this thing has sat since 1986. You could get the body work painted back to the original color, clean it up, and have a pristine bike! Everything else looks really good. The tank doesn't leak, it's not dented, and there are no deep scratches in the original paint. I left it unpainted because I LOVE THE PATINA! The good: The pipes are very good with only minimal surface rust on the inside of the pipes near the frame but there are NO HOLES! All of the baffles are still in place and the bike sounds great! It appears that battery acid or something dripped down on the lower right-side pipe causing a stain. The seat is in very good shape with no tears and no dry rotting, only minimal surface rust around the chrome on the strap. The tires are like brand new with no cracking or dry rotting anywhere and minimal wear if any! All electronics work except the low-beam headlight. This includes the starter, turn signals, horn, etc... Mechanically it starts right up and runs good. All of the original air-boxes are intact. There are no engine noises and no leaks that I can see. The front brake caliper will need taken off and cleaned and new fluid added. The clutch has plenty of life and doesn't rattle. It goes through all of the gears easily. All of the miles put on this bike were by the first and only titled owner! Bonuses: Includes the owners manual, unused tool kit, original Owner Identification Card, and the Original Title! The title is open and signed by the previous owners (now deceased) Power of Attorney with a sworn affidavit included which proves the proprietor of the will had the right to sign the deceased owners name. I did not change the title into my name because of it showing the engine number AND the VIN number both on the original title! Very cool tidbits for the serious collector. This is a great opportunity to own a cool old bike and ride it as is or fix it up a little at a time. As is, no warranty expressed or implied. Check my feedback and bid with confidence in knowing I haven't sugar-coated anything and will be honest and truthful with you. Feel free to call me with best offers or any questions.
