Honda CB description

Honda Racing  Street BIKE CLASSIC so collectable Reliable Power 4 engine performance lighter weight classy head turning style. Did you graduate in 1972 and dream about riding this off in the sunset? Honda CB350 Four has a transversely mounted four-cylinder engine featuring a chain-driven single overhead camshaft. Crankcases were of the clamshell type, split horizontally to allow easy assembly of the unit-construction gearbox and the five-plain bearing crankshaft. Primary drive was by chain, taken from the center of the crank to an inboard-mounted clutch. The 350 Four engine is undersquare, meaning the 50mm stroke is longer than the 47mm diameter of the bore. And at 47mm, each of the four pistons is not much larger than a medium-sized plastic pill canister you get from the pharmacy. Parts available this one is in excellent condition. Kept in the garage!! Need to sell for my son's college fund  I have no idea about shipping cost- available for pick up in garage in Southern California OR you arrange shipping- would need crate or auto trailer?

Kenny Roberts Motorcycle Collection Up For Sale

Wed, 25 Apr 2012

Motorcycling legend Kenny Roberts has commissioned RMD Motors to auction off some rare and exclusive motorcycles from his collection, presumably to make room for more. The Japan-based company is known the world over for its collection of rare and classic motorcycles for sale, many of which are retired grand prix machines fortunate enough to escape the fate of most decommissioned racebikes: the crusher.  Headlining the Roberts collection is the 2004 Proton KRV5 originally ridden by Kurtis Roberts, King Kenny’s youngest son. The five-cylinder grand prix machine never achieved much success on the world stage, but will easily make you the center of attention at your local trackday.

Intermot 2012: Honda CRF450 Rally Unveiled

Tue, 02 Oct 2012

Today at Intermot 2012, Honda unveiled the CRF450 Rally, the machine it plans to enter in the 2013 Dakar Rally, marking the manufacturer’s return to the race after more than two decades. Honda has competed nine times from 1981 in the forerunner of the present Dakar Rally, the Paris-Dakar Rally. Cyril Neveu of France took Honda to its first victory in 1982, the race’s fourth year, and from 1986 to 1989 Honda won four consecutive titles for an overall record of five victories in nine years. The CRF450 Rally is based on Honda’s commercial CRF450X enduro racing model, and features electronic fuel injection, auxiliary fuel tanks in the panniers and lower side fairings, and the requisite navigation equipment located behind the windscreen.
