Honda CB description

1971 Honda CB 175. For parts or project bike. When I got the bike it was running but seemed to need some adjustments in the carb. I took out 1 of the spark plugs and when I tried to put it back in, discovered that the hole was stripped. I have a pre-owned cylinder head in excellent condition to replace the 1 with the stripped spark plug hole. I also have all new gaskets and o-rings and the Clymer repair manual. I don't have all the tools to make the swap and I am going to be moving soon so even if I did repair it I wouldn't be able to take it with me. The bike has 3,800 mis, brand new tires and seat and is in attractive condition. One downside is that I do not have the title. The previous owner couldn't find it when he sold it to me. Email me or call/text at to make an offer.

Honda is recalling over 20,000 Shadows in the US

Fri, 29 Jan 2016

Honda is recalling 22,142 motorcycles from shipments produced between 2010 and 2016. The reason was the vibration from the engine, which over time leads to chafing of the fall sensor wire in the common harness. Dealers promise to move the wire to another location and replace the sensor free of charge.

Hero Honda Rebranded as Hero MotoCorp

Tue, 09 Aug 2011

Honda’s former joint venture in India has officially rebranded itself as Hero MotoCorp, revealing the company’s new logo and signaling the beginning of a new era for India’s largest motorcycle manufacturer. Formerly known as Hero Honda, the joint venture claims a share of nearly half of India’s two-wheeled vehicle market. Honda decided in late 2010 to end its 27-year partnership with India’s Hero Motors, buying out its 26% share for $855 million, about half the market price at the time.
