Honda CB description
Up for grabs is my pride and joy and my personal project over the past 2 and a half years. It started off as a stock 1973 Honda CB350 twin in running condition. This bike was custom built by me and It was fully restored and modified from the ground up into a mean looking and great handling café racer. This bike is ready to ride with no issues. It starts right up with either the electronic starter or by kicking it over. She will usually start on the first kick. She starts, idles, runs, rides and handles perfectly. The bike was completely broken down to the frame. And rebuilt from there using a lot of quality OEM Honda parts borrowed from other modes and some aftermarket parts as well. This bike is the perfect café racer bike. It looks amazing and was built with pride and attention to detail to both its appearance and more importantly its reliability and performance. I have installed a new set of main jets to accommodate the carb pod filters. Also, I have swapped the tempermental points system with a much more reliable Pamco Electronic Ignition. This bike is just as reliable as a stock CB350. There were no cut corners or hack jobs done to this bike. She was built right and with only 14k original miles it will go for many more miles as long as it is properly maintained. It has low café style, clubman bars and a rearward seating position along with rearsets which puts the rider in a modern sportbike position. It gets looks and comments from everyone, young and old. Every time I ride this bike I get nods and thumbs up and everyone likes to talk about it and ask questions. She has a rear sprocket that is one tooth smaller than stock which gives it better acceleration. The top speed on this bike is around 85 mph. Just a super fun bike to ride and throw into the turns. Since built this bike has only had full synthetic motor oil, Dot 4 synthetic Castrol brake fluid and synthetic fork oil. The winner is getting an awesome, useable bike that looks awesome. With all the money and time I have invested in this bike it is truly hard to sell. But I have bills to pay and It needs to go. Thanks for looking and have a great day!
73 was the last year of the beloved CB350 before they changed to the less than perfect CB360. This is the only year 350 to come with a factory disk front brake and considered by many to be the best small displacement twin motorcycles ever built by Honda. The CB350 holds the record for the most sold bike in history. Meaning they sold more CB350’s than any other single model bike in history which is a testament to the design and function. Ok now on to the features of this bike. Starting with the motor, it is oem and original to the bike with no leaks or issues. The Valves were adjusted even thou they weren’t that far off spec. The motor was fully degreased and pressure washed and was painted black using a very high quality epoxy paint that shines nicely and is very durable and resistant to chipping. The side fins on the cylinder head were sanded down to create the silver lines as shown. Also matching finned valve tappet covers were installed for extra cooling capability and some style. The transmission works flawlessly with no issues and the clutch is solid. The OEM Carbs have been rebuilt with new gaskets and one size up on the main jets painted silver with individual pod filters. New Chrome chain with new rear sprocket. Sprocket is one tooth smaller than stock for better acceleration. Rims are off of a 78 Honda cb400 hawk with new matching Dunlop tires front and back. Axle mount Tail light and license plate. Oem rear shocks with painted black bodies and Chrome springs. Front end is off of a 75 CB500t including the forks and trees. Front brake system has a rebuilt caliper and master cylinder using dot 4 synthetic fluid. Handlebars are chrome café style with vintage gran tourismo grips. Headlight is oem with aftermarket café style fork ears, and a chrome headlight visor. Gas tank is off a CB500t and has been cleaned to remove all rust and then it was sealed with Por-15 which is superior to kreem and lasts decades, not years.
Engine/Carburetors/Exhaust:
OEM original numbers matching CB350 motor in perfect running condition, Painted Black with Joker brand Finned Valve Tappet Covers and a complete high polished engine bolt kit with hex(allen) heads.
Carburetors are OEM Kei Hin model 722a that were completely rebuilt with new set of slightly larger KEI Hin primary and secondary jets to compensate for the pod filters which flow much better than stock. Original jetting was 105 for the primary and 68 for the secondary main jets. A set of #110 and #72 main jets have been installed and the bike idles and runs great with the pod filters and also has a bit more power. Carbs have been Painted silver and fully synched and adjusted with a brand new throttle cable set. The exhaust is OEM Honda taken from a 72’ CL350 which is a direct bolt on. The header tubes were wrapped with DEI Exhaust wrap in black which helps keep the heat in the exhaust for better performance. The mufflers were painted black with the original Chrome guards.
Frame/Body:
Gas tank is from a 75’ CB500t with a rebuilt dual outlet petcock, also from a cb500t. The tank was mounted using the oem front rubber holders and the rear rubber mount from the cb500t. The inside of the tank was treated with a grease and rust remover and was sealed with POR-15 tank sealer which is far superior to Kreem. Tanks that were treated with POR-15 have lasted over 15 years with no issues. The rear cowl was hand fabricated and the cover was hand stitched and is removable using the snap buttons. Both the Gas tank and rear cowl were professionally painted by a quality body shop here in my home town. While they are not cheap, they are known for their high quality paint jobs as they often paint expensive luxury and show cars. The front fender is aftermarket and is made of fiberglass. It was painted to match the frame. Not only is it super light but it adds a kind of vintage stock Honda look as in the old 350cc superhawks. The Original frame was sandblasted and painted silver. There were was some tabs that were welded to the frame to mount the gas tank. A new battery is mounted under the seat.
Rims/Tires:
OEM Honda Comstars taken from a 1980 CB400t Hawk.
F+R Tires are brand new Dunlop D404’s. They have a modern tread pattern and have great traction/grip and they ride smooth and quiet.
Electronics:
Pamco Electonic Ignition which is much more reliable as it eliminates the needy points that always seem to need adjustment with oem coils. OEM hand controls, headlight and wire harness. Aftermarket signals lights with bulbs, not LED’s with a new flasher relay. Aftermarket axle mounted brake/taillight. All buttons/switches and electronics, including the starter, work and function as they should with no issues.
Suspension/Wheels/Brakes:
Front triple trees and forks are from a 75’ CB500t with new fork seals and fluid.
Rear Shocks are OEM original, they were disassembled and the lower body was painted black.
OEM Ducati steering damper taken off of a 1098r. Brake system is OEM Honda from a CB400t hawk with new pads and rear shoes. The Brake Lever/Master Cylinder. Are OEM CB350 The Master cylinder has been rebuilt with new internal piston and seals.
I am sure that I have left out a few things. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
Note: The bike must be picked up in Bayonne, NJ 07002 within 7 days of auction end. Bike must be paid for with Cash in Person Only! If you plan to have a shipping company come to pick the bike up you will be responsible to set everything up with the carrier of your choice. I will try to help the best i can but i cannot gaurantee sheduling as i work monday thru friday and sometimes on saturday, usually from 6am to 4pm.
Please do not place a bid unless you are willing and capable to go through with the sale at that price. By bidding you are entering a contract to purchase, not just come and look. There will be no negotiations after the sale is complete! Sorry about these little rules but they are ebay policies and i have been burned by non paying bidders in the past with other items. plus it would be unfair to take the sale away from another serious buyer.
Thanks for looking and Happy Bidding!

Pedrosa, Marquez, Bradl Talk About Racing, Motorcycles, And Each Other
Fri, 05 Apr 2013In order to use footage from a Dorna-sanctioned MotoGP test session — say, for marketing or promotional reasons — a team must receive approval from Dorna. The process is tedious, and even if permission is granted, there are strict limitations as to what the material may or may not be used for. So when Honda decided to conduct its own private test (which Yamaha also joined), at the Circuit of the Americas, it was free from any and all Dorna mandates.
