Honda CA description

For sale is a Vintage UNRESTORED 1964 Honda Dream CA77 in all original condition with 7414 original miles.

VIN # CA77E-1022918

This motorcycle is fresh from storage and is in very good original condition for a 52 year-old classic!!!!

It is in Original unrestored condition. I considered restoring it, but it is in far too good condition to warrant a restoration. Besides, as the saying goes... "they are only original once".

This is a great opportunity to add an timeless Japanese classic to your collection.

It's got plenty of patina (please see all pictures), but is a great daily rider. If someone wants to restore it, it would make a perfect candidate for that as well. The only thing that's not original to the bike is the pair of mirrors I installed this year.

Minimal rust on the metal work. The front fender has a dent, which I've come to find out is common on these bikes.

It has the clamshell carb covers that most older Honda Dreams appear to have lost.

It comes with a period specific windshield that adds to the character of the motorcycle, but is easily removable.

The seat is in exceptionally good condition with no tears.

All the fluids were drained. Fresh oil, spark plugs, and a new battery was added. Carburetors were cleaned and the bike fired back into life. It starts on electric start with on the first or second try. Idles well, and pulls through the gears with all it's 1964 glory. It runs like a Dream....pun intended.

The tires are old and have cracks. But I had no issues riding it around town. And everywhere I took it, there was someone who wanted to know more about it, or owned one in his younger days. Definitely a conversation piece.

The exhaust is in very good condition with no holes whatsoever. There is some pitting on the chrome (see pictures), but it shows real nice.

The rims have some bubbles, but again the chrome shows well for original condition (please see all pictures).

This bike is a lot of fun to ride. Whoever ends up getting this will have a lot of fun riding and showing this bike.

Please do not bid on this if you do  not have the money to pay for it. Or your wife or girlfriend or significant other haven't given you permission to own it. I say that with utmost respect as I don't want to waste my time listing it and losing another potential buyer.

The winning bidder is responsible for shipping, I will assist in any way I can by delivering to a shipping location within 100 miles of Bangor Maine 04401.

It does not have a title as the State of Maine does not issue titles for vehicles over 15 years.

Please ask any questions you may have prior to bidding and I will be happy to answer them.

Thank you for stopping by. HAPPY BIDDING!!

When it’s minus nine outside, riding motorbikes should be the last thing on any sane person’s mind. Riding them off-road, nearly two thousand feet above sea level seems even more stoopid. But that’s where I was a week last Saturday.

Isle of Man TT 2014: Monster Supersport TT 1 Results

Mon, 02 Jun 2014

Gary Johnson narrowly beat out Bruce Anstey to take the first of two Supersport races at the 2014 Isle of Man TT. Riding the Daytona 675, Johnson’s win was the first for Triumph since 2003, ironically, with Anstey taking the victory that year in the Junior 600cc class. The race started three hours behind schedule due to fog, but once it began it quickly became a duel between Johnson and Anstey.
