But this black sheep gets the stripped-down treatment for even more raw, in-your-face VR attitude. It starts with the same hot rod genetics. 115 hp Revolution engine. Aluminum bodywork. Hydro-formed perimeter frame. Raked fork. But from there, it sheds the shine. With a black frame that surrounds the silver and black powertrain. Of course, the dark theme goes further, with black calipers and brake lines, black hand controls and rear shock springs. The VRSCB model gets finished with a minimalist instrument cluster on an adjustable handlebar. It’s pure VRSC muscle, only more ornery than ever. Small-Displacement Class Considered for 2015 AMA Pro Racing Season
Wed, 04 Dec 2013More and more manufacturers are entering the small-displacement sportbike market and AMA Pro Racing has taken notice, opening the possibility of adding a new racing class representing the growing segment. With plans to consolidate the Daytona Sportbike and Supersport classes and the Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson series signed through 2015, a spot will open up on race weekends for another racing class to support the premier Superbike Championship. The logical choice is to introduce a new small-displacement class.
Harley-Davidson Reports Q1 2013 Results
Thu, 25 Apr 2013Harley-Davidson reported 15.9% increase in motorcycle revenue despite selling 9.1% fewer motorcycles over the first quarter of 2013. According to the company’s first quarter 2013 report, Harley-Davidson recorded revenues of $1.15 billion from motorcycle sales, compared to $995.9 million in the same quarter of 2012. At the same time, Harley-Davidson sold 54,254 motorcycles worldwide over the first quarter, down from 59,677 motorcycles in the same period last year.
