2004 Harley-Davidson VRSCA V-Rod, 2004 V-Rod with performance exhaust! - Your eyes are not playing tricks on you. What you’re seeing here is indeed 115 horses of a very different color. The muscle-and-metal-to-the-max VRSCA V-Rod gone tinted. For 2004, we took the aluminum bodywork through the paint booth and came up with some standout shades, including Lava Red Sunglo that’s sure to stop a sidewalk full of pedestrians dead in their tracks. From there, we went further. The perimeter frame has a new sliver-leaf powder-coat for sheen. The overall effect carries on its crowd-drawing tradition. And it enhances the long, low hot rod theme provided by the 49mm, 38° raked fork, 180mm rear tire, solid disc wheels and sweeping exhaust. The strapping, 60° V-Twin Revolution power plant sends it all blistering into motion. Liquid-cooled and fuel-injected, it displaces 1130cc and pumps out 115 horsepower. Afghan Heroes tribute Harley MT350
Tue, 29 Nov 2011The above Harley-Davidson MT350 has been created in honor of the UK soldiers killed over the last ten years in the Afghanistan conflict. This particular MT350 was previously used by British forces in Afghanistan and will now act as a memorial for the charity Afghan Heroes. The tribute was created by Paul Ferguson and Martin Turner, and now features the name of each fallen serviceman or woman, accompanied by their age and the date they were killed in action.
Donation of Photos and Memorabilia to Harley-Davidson Museum Reveal Glimpse of Early Days at Harley
Thu, 22 Mar 2012Harley-Davidson Museum today posted on its Facebook page a selection of photos it received as part of collection of images and memorabilia donated by a former Harley employee. According to the Facebook post former H-D employee Bob Jameson donated “ two scrapbooks, numerous photographs, news clippings and other company related materials” for the museum’s collection. Jameson, following in his father’s footsteps, worked for The Motor Company, and in 1960 helped develop a motorcycle suited for use in the Vietnam war.

Mon, 28 Sep 2009Two weeks ago, I took a break from my regular duties gathering news for Motorcycle.com to fly to Germany to cover the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show for our sister site AutoGuide.com. For two hectic days, AutoGuide editor Colum Wood and I scrambled across the massive 6.2 million square foot Messe Frankfurt trade fair compound, running from press conference to press conference to get the latest on exotic sport cars, futuristic concept models and international unveilings from the automotive world. It was heaven for car lovers, but for me, it meant fighting my way through hordes of photogs, auto-journalists and car show models to get the first photos of four-wheeled goodies from MINI, Ferrari and Lotus.
