Harley-Davidson Touring description

Custom 1992 Harley Davidson - Super clean!  Unsure of model but title states it is an "FHS".  This bike has a 103ci motor (believe it is a newer model) , loads of chrome, and is wicked fast.  Has custom dark blue paint that looks amazing in person.  All custom built from the fenders to the exhaust.  Bike needs nothing and is ready to ride.  Has 11547 miles on the odometer, but not sure if original.  Has a clean Oregon title ready for transfer.

Low reserve auction, please do not ask me to end it early or ask what the reserve is.  It is set at a very reasonable price.  For those of you in the Chicago area, you can stop in and take a look at it.

Issue: Has a couple small chips in the storage boxes from rider bumping with feet while getting on and off.
If you have any questions, just let me know.  I do not know much about motorcycles but I will do my best to answer.  Selling the motorcycle because I do not need it.  I took it in on trade for industrial equipment.

Will accept PayPal or Cash in person with PayPal deposit.  Checks are not accepted under any circumstance.

Thanks for looking and feel free to ask questions!

Survey Says Harley-Davidson and BMW Motorcycles Less Reliable Than Japanese – But Owners Don’t Care

Tue, 26 Mar 2013

A new survey conducted by the Consumer Reports National Research Center finds BMW and Harley-Davidson  owners are much more likely to report major problems with their motorcycles than owners of Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha motorcycles. The survey, which will appear on the April 2013 issue of Consumer Reports, says one in three BMW owners reported experiencing a major problem with their bikes in the last four years. Harley-Davidson owners were slightly better, with one in four reporting serious issues.

New Harley-Davidson Sportster for India to Use 500cc V-Twin

Thu, 03 Jan 2013

When Harley-Davidson first entered the Indian market, The Motor Company decided to import existing models as complete knockdown kits for final assembly in the burgeoning market. Considering the average motorcycle in India has a displacement smaller than 200cc, it was inevitable Harley-Davidson would eventually have to produce a small-displacement model rather than rely on its existing product line which currently lists the 883cc sportsters as its smallest bikes. Despite a denial last May by Harley-Davidson India’s Managing Director Anoop Prakash, it now appears Harley-Davidson is set to announce a new small-displacement model to be produced in India at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo next February.
