Harley-Davidson Touring description

Beautifully appointed motorcycle.  All of the bells and whistle's of a Limited plus lots of chrome and lights.  Careful thought went in to the design of adding the accessories, just not thrown together. Since the pictures were taken I have added a painted inner-fairing and a Bike Wurks  windshield. It has a boom box for increased quality sound while enjoying the sound of a Screaming Eagle exhaust married to Vance&Hines headers.  A stage 1 was installed for increased power.  The bike has been lowered 2" like the 2015 Limited Low.  Handle bars back to the rider by 2" as well.  A real pleasure to ride.  Its been to Sturgis twice and enjoyed in the Texas Hill Country. Never dropped or wrecked.

All add-on's and maintenance work has been done by the local Harley shop and everything can be verified. The bike is always garaged and has been waxed numerous times since I purchased it new.

You will not be disappointed in this motorcycle. There is nothing else I would want to add to this bike to make it something to be proud of.  Come see it!

Harley-Davidson revealed four models in its limited-production 2014 Custom Vehicle Operations. The CVO Breakout introduced last year is back for 2014, and this time it is joined by the all-new CVO Softail Deluxe (pictured above) and the CVO Road King and CVO Limited touring models which also received elements of Harley-Davidson’s new Project Rushmore initiative. All four CVO models get exclusive components and paint treatments not available on other Harley-Davidson models, as well as a number of accessories from the company’s catalog.

Vespa goes back to the future

Thu, 22 Nov 2012

IT'S been a while coming, but the gorgeous Vespa 946 - EICMA 2012's Best of Show - has finally introduced something to the two-wheeled world that our four-wheeled counterparts have had for a while.  I call this 'reverse retro-futurism' - the art of borrowing lines from models past and imbuing them with a sleek sense of future direction (as opposed to retro-futurism, the pre-1960s design trend of depicting the technology of the future. The term 'decopunk' may come close, but feel free to tell me if there's a more exact term.) It's what the New Mini and the New Beetle (both 1997 and 2012 versions) have done so well, and so successfully: building an all-new model as a tribute to a classic, something that's modern yet already timeless, with a widely-appreciated, inclusive aesthetic (and here we eliminate the Plymouth PT Cruiser from the conversation). The biking world is great at retro, indeed thrives on it, but not so good at adding in a taste of the 21st century.

Owner of Tsunami-Tossed Harley-Davidson Found in Japan

Wed, 02 May 2012

Harley-Davidson representatives in Japan have identified the owner of the motorcycle lost in last year’s tsunami but later found on a remote beach in Canada. The 29-year-old owner, Ikuo Yokoyama, lives in Yamamoto, Japan, in Miyagi Prefecture, the region hardest hit by the 2011 Japanese earthquake and tsunami. Yokoyama survived the disaster but lost three family members and is still living in temporary accommodations.
