Harley-Davidson Touring description

Up for auction here is a nice 2013 Harley Road King that is ready to ride anywhere in style!  With the 103 c.i. V-Twin motor and 6 speed transmission, and dealer-added cruise control, this bike is ready for the open road.  The original owner of this bike traded it to me on a car deal. He was an older gentleman that was very meticulous about this bike, and had all service work done at his Harley dealer at the recommended service intervals.  He also had the dealer add factory cruise control .  Other than the cruise control and detachable docking kit for backrests or tour pacs, this bike is pretty stock.

Mechanically, everything works as designed.  No issues or problems of any kind. New gel battery installed last month.

Cosmetically, this bike is very nice .  The only wear on the bike is to the factory grips.  Other than that, everything is very nice.  No dings or dents to the sheetmetal, all chrome is nice and bright with no corrosion, paint is nice, etc.  Check out the pics, this is a nice bike.  No issues.  Check my feedback, I tell it like it is.  If you have any questions, give me a call at 940-393-9750.

Clear Texas title in hand.  Texas residents only are responsible for State tax, title, and license fees.  Bike is sold as-is, with no warranty express or implied.  A $500.00 deposit is required thru Paypal within 24 hrs, with balance to be paid in full within 7 days.  Buyer is responsible for freight, but I will help buyer with arrangements.  I am about 45 minutes from DFW airport.  If you want to fly in and ride home, I will be glad to pick you up.

So if you are looking for a nice, honest bike that hasn't been messed with or hammered on, here is your bike!  Happy Bidding!!

Louisiana Bill Updates Maximum Handlebar Height Legislation

Thu, 17 May 2012

Louisiana state lawmakers have approved a bill that would change the maximum height of motorcycle handlebars. Current state law restricts handlebar height to no more than 15 inches above the seat, a somewhat arbitrary level, but a common choice with 17 other states. The House has voted 87-0 in favor of Senate Bill 582 to change the maximum height to the rider’s shoulder level, as measured while sitting on the seat.

More Miles From Dunlop’s 2nd-Gen American Elite Tires

Thu, 14 Mar 2013

Dunlop says its second-generation of American Elite tires provide increased mileage, and come in a variety of new styles. Designed with Dunlop’s MT Multi-Tread technology, with a long-wearing center compound and grippier compounds on each edge, the new American Elite’s should pique the interest of Harley FL owners. The second-gen series of American Elites are also now available with narrow white bar sidewalls and wide white walls along with the original black sidewall, providing FL owners more choices.  For riders of Harley-Davidson FL Touring bikes, model year 2009 and later, the new second-generation American Elite tires with Multi-Tread are available in 130/80B17 and 180/65B16 black sidewall, 130/80B17 and 180/65B16 narrow white sidewall, 130/90B16 and 180/65B16 wide white sidewall, with the 130/70B18 front tire available for select CVO bikes. For recent-model Softail owners, including models such as the Fat Boy, the MH90-21, 140/75R17 and 200/50R17 sizes of American Elite are also available.

Storm Tears Facade Off Colorado Harley-Davidson Dealership

Tue, 09 Apr 2013

A Harley-Davidson dealership in Pueblo, Colo., suffered some serious damage after heavy winds from a spring storm ripped off the wall of the dealership’s second floor. The 34,000 square-foot Outpost Harley-Davidson dealership on I-25 in Pueblo usually features a high front wall that sticks up above the building’s gable roof (see the “before” picture below). The damage occurred early in the morning and it’s not clear at this point if anyone was around when it happened.
