If you are looking for a showroom condition bike, this one's not for you. However, if you are looking for a unique Harley experience that performs as well or better than new, a bike that can comfortably handle a 2-up trip to Sturgis and back to Brooklyn, this is a damn good choice.
Purchased new in 2011 -never used as a law enforcement bike- from Moroney's HD in New Windsor NY, bike was prepped by the pros at Moroney's for 2-up riding while retaining all the heavy duty goodies and the air adjust saddle (the most comfortable seat Harley makes). Add ons include: Mustang pillion, HD removable backrest, mini floor boards, HD heated grips, Kenwood marine band receiver w/ hogtune speakers. Bike comes fitted with Progressive springs and shocks for superior and handling, and a S&S cam for improved acceleration and top end performance. Bike recently underwent $3300 service and is in excellent mechanical condition. Bike was serviced by Alex Lerner at SLNYC one of the most capable Harley mechanics out there. I can set up a conversation w/ him for interested buyers. As you can tell from pictures visually bike looks like a Street Glide but will perform much better and save you $$$ as well. Harley-Davidson Museum Announces Black Leather Jacket Exhibit
Thu, 09 Feb 2012The Harley-Davidson Museum is opening a new exhibit dedicated to an iconic piece of motorcycle culture: the black leather jacket. The “Worn to be Wild: The Black Leather Jacket“ exhibit will showcase the ubiquitous article from many riders’ wardrobe.The exhibit includes over 100 artifacts including jackets designed by fashion houses such as Jean Paul Gaultier and Gianni Versace, as well as jackets worn by celebrities such as Elvis Presley. “The leather jacket symbolizes different things for each person who wears it, whether they are a motorcyclist, celebrity or a top designer,” says Bill Davidson, vice president of the Harley-Davidson Museum.
