Harley-Davidson Touring description

First off, Thanks for your interest in this magnificent custom Road Glide! Its an amazing motorcycle. The looks it gets along with the great riding aspect of it is remarkable! This is the third touring motorcycle I've done work to. First was my 2009 Street Glide which was on the cover of the hot bike Baggers magazine with an 8 page spread. Then an 11 road glide with minimal work done to it blacked out with a 23' wheel and tripple trees only. A friend loved it so much i sold it to him with 700 miles on it. Now this monster! It began as a mild build of just stretched bags, rear fender filler, and a simple 21" wheel to stand out a little bit from the rest. It then became a full on build. A good friend of mine and highly reputable builder in the bagger industry Alan Gregory of Bagger Concepts, creator of the famous Loud Lids was moving his shop from Texas to Massachusetts. We started talking and exchanging ideas between us two and my best friend, owner of Kustom Kreations who had done all the work on my previous Street Glide. So the collaboration began. Kustom Kreations did all the paint and body work on the motorcycle and Bagger Concepts did all the frame work and put the motorcycle back together. Together this bike was created. A streamlined Road Glide. Simple and clean yet loud as hell with the custom mixed color Kustom Kreations mixed up. Its a tri-stage paint. Beginning with a white coat then adding the green base coat with a pearl essence top coat. The green base coat is the custom mixture and the pearl is from Lamborghini. It then got 4 coats of Clear to top it off nicely and give it a very wet and deep look. All of the best materials used on this motorcycle. From primer to paint and clear it was all top of the line stuff. No cut corners. Im a very picky person and I will pay for perfection. As for the neck work done by Bagger Concepts. It was done flawlessly as well! It looks like the stock frame just stretched a little. he did an amazing job on the metal work. I will post those pictures down below as well. The neck and down tubes were painted to match. I wanted as little stretch and rake possible so that the front wheel wasn't sticking way out like a chopper. After all its a touring bike not a chopper. I wanted it to ride and handle well and that it does. I've had a number of friends who I ride with test it out and they were amazed. They thought I had ruined the bike. Not to say they all ride like mine but Bagger Concepts executed the job perfectly. The bike sits perfectly level. Its not a mission lifting it off of the kick stand. I truly love the bike. I built it to be custom but ridable cross country. I've ridden at the least a dozen times two up with no issues what so ever. I've gone down the highway at 100MPH set the cruise control and taken my hands off the bars no problem. This will make who every ends up with it a very happy owner.

I purchased it brand new at American Harley Davidson in Leominster MA. Its the 4th brand new bike I've purchased there. All services done at this location as well. You can feel free to contact their service department and ask them about my motorcycle history. I've never abused my motorcycles in any way. I always have my services done. My rear tire on this bike is the original since new. Never 1 burn out on this bike. Its not me. It was a fully loaded road glide. I believe at the time msrp was approx $23,000. It had the 103" power pack option. If you remember in 2011 is when they introduced the 103" but it didn't come standard. The 96" was still standard. It also has the oil cooler, abs brakes, cruise, security and it had the color option of sedona orange which no longer matters. I just had a photo shoot done this past saturday for Hot Bike Baggers magazine. Once I get some photos back I will post those as well. For now I posted some standard photos from home.

The work done to the bike and parts use include:

-Stretched and raked frame by Bagger Concepts

-All of the chrome on the bike including the engine was removed and powder coated satin black. It compliments the green perfectly
-Sony DSX-MS60 Marine Radio
-Hertz High Energy XL 6.5"
-Wetsounds amplifier
-I had Bagger Concepts run the pigtails to the rear of the bike for his new loud lids coming out soon. This way its already wired for speaker lids of your choice
-Pro-One Smooth black bag latches
-Bagger Concepts points cover
-Bagger Concepts Stealth fairing bracket mounted inside the fairing. Its to eliminate using the ugly crash bar and bulky brackets Harley uses. Most others on the market are very visible. You can't see this one!

For those of you wondering why I am selling my bike so soon its due to financial reasons mainly. I just finished renovations on my home and realized as nice as it is now I really need more space for my growing family. 20% down payments these days isn't short money. I can always build an other Bagger. I'm very sad to see it go. I worked hard on it as did Kustom Kreations and Bagger Concepts. Priorities come first and the toys are the first to go. The bike rides extremely well. I've ridden from my home in MA to Florida and once all the way to Sturgis SD. I ride so I had this bike built to ride not just to show like a lot of them are... In my opinion it cruises down the highway and also dips low for corners even better than stock did! I didn't believe it but now that I own one its true. Of course it needs to be built right. This one wasn't done using neck kits from places like HHI offer. The neck dimensions (rake & trail) were done by hand specifically to this particular bike. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the bike mechanically or visually.

The front fairing and the windshield were professionally molded together for a smoother and more flowing look. The bike is custom so we had to make it custom and our own like the rear fender. Its done properly and I assure you there will not be any swelling or cracking like a lot of other products people put out do. It was done right. It is very strong. Before painting its was put through a few heated booth cycles and left in the sun to make sure. Its solid!

The exhaust sounds amazing in my opinion. Very deep and throaty. I will buy these again if and when I purchase a new harley. The cams and the thundermax work very good together. Its a great all around cam. Power through 6k rpm and as low as 2krpm. It really pulls great from start to end. I personally love the performance gains I got with this package from Chris at cycle solutions. The difference in power was night and day. As a matter of fact one of my close friends ended up purchasing the same package for his 13 street glide because he really enjoyed riding mine.

The stereo sounds phenomenal especially for being two 6.5" and two tweeters. I can hear it at half volume going down the highway at 85 just as clear and crisp as being parked in my garage. I am very happy with the setup. The speakers alone retail for $850.

As a whole this motorcycle is a steal. To have one built will cost you well over $60,000 including the cost of the bike. I just want to recover some of the money I have put in to it. It has everything you will need. Ride it cross country or bar hop for the night. Its the best of both worlds. The attention you get is unreal. Stop lights or just parking at a local bar. People go nuts. The color really stands out and I get so many compliments about it. Some people even say they simply hate the color green but the color on this bike is gorgeous. At night it almost looks like flat green. When the sun hits or some lighting it really cranks on the pearl. It just becomes an entirely different color. All the lines become more pronounced and its beautiful. If for some reason you are interested in this bike but really hate green I can have it painted any color of your choice and an additional fee. Prices will vary depending on types of paint pearls, candies, metallics, marbles, custom air brushing or pin-stripping etc...Nothing is impossible!! JUST ASK...The cost will be lower than usual. I have worked it out with the body shop already so if the motorcycle is purchased and the color needs to change there will be a discounted price for the paint.

If you have ANY questions regarding the bike, price, paint swap, delivery, arrangements, anything at all please feel free to ask me or simply call or text me at 978-325-2717. I've always had 100% feedback but I sold an iphone for a friend that wasn't exactly perfect and I got smacked with the negative feedback! Please don't let that steer you away from this motorcycle. Its a lot of motorcycle for the money. It was built right. It wasn't just slapped together to make a quick sale or quick buck. It was done for me to have as a personal bike for myself. I wouldn't build myself a half fast bike. It should be in an up coming issue of Hot Bike Baggers as long as this photo shoot came out as well as it should. You can own this bike now and own it when the issue comes out with your bike on it!

I have the right to end this auction at any time without further notice. I will sell this item off of ebay if the buyer prefers. please contact me on my cell phone and we can work out a deal. Own a nasty bagger for a fraction of the cost to build one or have one built. My loss is truly your gain. Don't let this deal pass you up! Until the bike is sold I will continue to ride it so the milage may increase during auction.

CARB Reveals 2014 Harley-Davidson Models, Including Some “Cool” Surprises

Fri, 16 Aug 2013

The California Air Resource Board has issued executive orders on a number of 2014 Harley-Davidson models, revealing much of the Motor Company’s upcoming product lineup. While most of the models listed are familiar, the documents do reveal some gems including possible signs of the long-rumored new liquid-cooled Harley-Davidson engine. The first and least surprising reveal is the disappearance of the 1584cc Twin Cam 96 engine.

Shelved Harley-Davidson Penster Tilting Trike Prototypes Revealed

Thu, 04 Aug 2011

The Harley-Davidson Museum has pulled the covers off discarded prototypes of a leaning three-wheeled motorcycle developed by The Motor Company. Harley-Davidson commissioned automobile hot rodding legend John Buttera to build the original prototype (pictured above) in 1998. Codenamed the “Penster”, the Trike looks like it could have been an earlier version of the Can-Am Spyder, but it had a tilting front end similar to the Piaggio MP3.

Watch As Motorcyclist Gets Chased By Elk – Video

Mon, 14 Oct 2013

Apparently, elks aren’t too keen on motorcyclists, as the video below demonstrates. This couple, aboard what sounds like a Harley-Davidson (that potato-potato exhaust note is unmistakeable), were riding along in Missoula, Montana when this elk decided he wanted to take the road for himself. As traffic slowed and eventually passed, the elk took a growing interest in the couple on the motorcycle, approaching them.
