Harley-Davidson Touring description

This motorcycle has some very nice improvements made to it. Comes with all the factory bag liners, bike cover, double-up seat, detachable backrest along with a custom C&C seat which is a gel filled solo with blue flames stitched into it, and a removable backrest for the solo seat with matching blue flame stitching as well. The front tire, pads and rotors have only 1,000 miles since replacement. The rear tire and rear brake pads replaced approx. 3,000 miles ago. All factory tires and rotors with upgraded pads front & rear. The engine had professionally installed Cometic .030 headgaskets, Andrews N54 cams, Woods Performance directional lifters, Fullsac Performance headpipe, with Fullsac Performance baffles installed into the stock mufflers along with a TTS Master Tuner, all done at 11,000 miles. This engine runs cool, and runs strong, all throughout the RPM range, no problems passing with this beauty. Has upgraded Performance Machine 444 rear shocks, and the Burly Bars Handlebar which is 2" up and 2" back from stock with all internal wiring, making it a very comfortable riding position. Also a laydown smooth rear tag bracket, with internal LED's for lighting of the tag. And swing out highway pegs that are mounted under the front floorboards. Plus the Harley Davidson remote garage door transmitter along with a hidden antenna for the radio all mounted under the fairing. Really there is just so much to list here. Call with questions if your a serious buyer only. Romano (301)606-0116

AMA Honors Zero and Scot Harden with Bessie Stringfield Award

Tue, 04 Mar 2014

The American Motorcyclist Association has bestowed a special recognition award to Zero Motorcycles and its Vice President of Marketing, Hall-of-Famer Scot Harden, for their work in attracting new riders and the positive impact they’ve delivered to mainstream media. Harden (pictured above from our recent Zero FX dirt riding review) and Zero were awarded the AMA Bessie Stringfield Award which recognizes individuals who have been instrumental in bringing emerging markets to motorcycling. The award is named after 2002 AMA Hall of Fame inductee Bessie Stringfield, the first African-American woman to ride solo across the United States and a civilian motorcycle dispatch rider for the army in World War II.
