Harley-Davidson Touring description

2010 FLHX STREET GLIDE Tilting 3-Wheeler

This rare custom Street Glide has been modified to replace the front wheel with a new front end by Tilting Motor Works, Inc. in Seattle, WA. The conversion included all new wheels, tires, brakes and suspension in a unique leaning configuration that provides complete freedom to lean through the corners like a 2-wheeler with no compromise to the ride. This bike does NOT stand up by itself. An optional self-stabilizing hydraulic system can be added by the buyer in the future.

This vehicle is ideal for riders who want the added confidence, safety, and performance of a 3-wheel platform without sacrificing the handling and fun of a 2-wheel ride. It leans and countersteers identically to the original 2-wheeled bike, while the extra contact patch up front provides faster and more secure cornering and improved braking. Riders also report that the additional wheel provides greater tracking stability and improved resistance to cross winds.

Because it leans, this vehicle is much less demanding and more fun to ride than any conventional trike or Spyder!

As seen on Jay Leno's Garage! https://youtu.be/T3TumQ-ueMU

With style and long distance comfort, this stripped-down bagger is made to eat miles! The stock Street Glide® is a bagger with hot-rod soul and minimal trim and chrome. Inspired by the street, but still ready for the long road. The innovative Harley-Davidson® Touring chassis is based on a single-spar, rigid backbone frame and a stout swingarm developed to withstand the demands of long-haul touring riders and today's more-powerful engines.

Engine/Transmission: Twin Cam 96, 1584cc, air-cooled, fuel injected, 6-speed.
Rear Suspension: Optional upgrade to Progressive 690 Series for an additional $500
Rear Tire: 180/65-16
Fuel Capacity: 6 gallons

Key components of the Tilting Motor Works conversion kit include dual Progressive 690 Series shockscustom forged aluminum wheels, custom 4-piston perimeter calipers, and Dunlop American Elite dual-density 130/80 B17 tires.

AS PART OF THE CONVERSION, ABS HAS BEEN DISABLED ON THIS VEHICLE AND THE ABS INDICATOR LIGHT WILL REMAIN LIT.

Upgrades include Bub Racing exhaust, Kuryakyn hand grips, Jegs oil cooler, and temperature gauge. A hydraulic leveling system may appear in certain photographs accompanying the listing; however, it has been removed from this vehicle and is not included in this sale.

This bike has minor cosmetic damage consistent with normal wear and tear for a vehicle of this mileage. Scuff and cracked paint on front fairing. Scuff on inside of right fender. Scuffs and paint cracking on inside of left fender. Some metal dings here and there. Floorboards have been scraped in the curves of course ;-)

This bike is available for inspection at Tilting Motor Works in Snohomish, Washington. It will be factory reconditioned in September with new bearings and bushings prior to delivery. This sale is FOB Snohomish, WA and transportation and/or shipping are at buyer's expense.

To purchase, make your $500 deposit here on eBay today. Although this listing calls for the balance to be paid in 14 days, you will not be asked to pay until the bike is ready for delivery. The balance will be due prior to delivery or shipping in September. Tilting Motor Works reserves the right to approve any sale.
