2009 HARLEY DAVIDSON CUSTOM ROAD GLIDE

  (LOWER PRICE)

Up for auction is an amazing CVO Road Glide. This bike has been customized from one end to the other and no expense was spared. Fortunately for me the money was spent by the original owner as I am the second person to own this bike. I'm ready for something new so this one could be yours. You better like attention because the attention this one draws at local bike nights as well as heading down the highway is very rewarding. I can't possibly list everything done to or added to the bike by part name or manufacture but I will hit some of the highlights!

26" front wheel and tire along with a custom painted fender. The man that painted this bike is truly an artist.

Front end was raked using aftermarket triple trees. You will note that it looks much better than the baggers that are stretched out so far they start looking like choppers. The down side of this look is the very short travel of the front suspension. It hits hard but never swayed me from traveling over 1000 miles to and from last years vacation to the Outer Banks in North Carolina.

Rear suspension is air suspension and it works flawlessly! most of the pics show it in the slammed position.

It's still a 110 but the heads were decked, ported and polished. Wood's 777 cams were installed along with adjustable push rods. A screamin eagle race tuner is included and the last pic shows the horsepower and torque ratings as provided by one of the very best engine builders around. They didn't do the work but perfected the tune.

Klockwerks heads and truly phenomenal CFR exhaust. The roar of this exhaust is amazing! When I pull into the local watering holes my drink is often poured before I get inside because no other bike sounds quite like this one. I have a video I should be able to email to those interested in hearing it although my camera audio does it little justice.

The factory stereo is fed into a Hawg Wired 2 X 75 amp with Focal crossovers and Focal speakers. An accessory box was added that provides for complete handlebar control of your Apple device wired to the right glove box. (Video can be emailed)

Awesome Daymaker headlights!

Brand new battery.

Oil and filter just changed.

Bike is still being ridden so the miles may increase slightly.

Rear wheel was changed to a 17" for that lower stance and it of course matches the front wheel though it is seldom seen.

The saddlebags are not the original fake extensions. They were changed to actual extended bags.

Much of the accessories are Performance Machine but I simply can't list everything. Please examine the pics closely and you will notice the details such as chrome covers on nearly anything that could be covered. The custom tank bib. Handlebars. mirrors. LED license frame. Gobs of hot toppers. Custom upper fork covers and fender supports. Floorboards and shift pedal. Chin spoiler. Even the sissy bar was customized so the mounts are hidden between the fender and the bags instead of the standard above the fender Harley mounts which would ruin the lines of this beautiful bike.

Okay! Here's the small items I feel must be pointed out.......

If you look closely at the pic of the rear of the front fender you will see what appear to be thin cracks in the clear-coat. I think from picking up rocks between the tire and the fender. They are actually pretty hard to see unless you are in the right light. A bike painter I showed them to said they could be easily repaired since the actual paint is not affected.

There is a very small chip in the bottom rear of the left saddlebag which, with the bikes stance really can't be seen until you take the bags off for a good cleaning and waxing.

Front tire is inspectable but I have no idea how many more miles you will get out of it.

Rear tire is in good shape.

The tips of the CFR exhaust pipes have bottomed out a few times when I neglected to raise the stance and hit some bad angles exiting certain parking lots. Its difficult to see but I want to be as honest as possible here. Please note my above average, 100% feedback rating.

There are no rear passenger pegs. Wife didn't want me riding and ladies home from the bar. :-)

Please ask if you need pics of anything in particular I might have missed.

I will accept a $500 non-refundable deposit within 48 hours of auction close via paypal. The remainder must be paid via cash or bank cashiers check within 7 days. I do not have the title. I realize this slows down the process of your picking up your new bike slightly but I need to send Harley Finance a few thousand bucks to pay the bike off. If you check my feedback you will see I've sold a 2006 Street Glide and a 2004 Honda Rune under these same conditions and received positive feedback on both. I will move things along as quickly as possible and keep you constantly updated on the progress.

Shipping will be at the winners expense. It would be great if the winner could come in person and take the bike home but if shipping is necessary, I will do anything I can within reason to ride and meet the delivery driver. I live very close to the historic national road, Rt 40, in the southwest corner of PA so even a full size semi can be easily accessed at local businesses.

Item is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end this auction should it sale locally. Sale to the lower 48 only!

Please contact me with any questions and again, note my 100% positive feedback. Rest assured you will get the bike you see in the pics and that it will be as described.

Tsunami-Tossed Harley-Davidson from Japan Washes Up in Canada

Mon, 30 Apr 2012

A shipping container holding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle with Japanese plates was discovered on a beach in British Columbia, Canada. The container, which appears to be the cargo area of a box truck, is believed to be one of the first notable pieces of debris set adrift by the 2011 Japanese tsunami to land in North America. Beachcomber Peter Mark discovered the containerwhile riding his ATV along an isolated beach on Graham Island, an island south of the Alaskan Panhandle.

Actor and Avid Rider, Lorenzo Lamas, to Lead Charity Ride for Abused Children

Thu, 08 Mar 2012

Lorenzo Lamas, the heartthrob who played ex-cop Reno Raines, a chopper/cruiser-riding beefcake sporting a flowing mane (that most women wished they had), out for justice in the ’90s TV drama, Renegade, is a real life motorcyclist, and will lead a charity ride on June 3 as the grand marshal for Child Abuse Awareness. Slated to join Lamas are actors/riders from Sons of Anarchy, Southland and American Ninja, as well as law enforcement and the general public, on the ride that will depart from Bartels’ Harley-Davidson in Marina del Rey, Calif., and end at the Newport Dunes Resort in Newport Beach, Calif.
