1970 HARLEY DAVIDSON FLH NICE BIKE NEEDS TLC & SOME RESTORATION 508-259-9933 This 1970 Harley Davidson Electra Glide is a low mileage, low ownership motorcycle. It has been driven under a thousand miles in the last sixteen years because it has been part of a collection. It comes with a complete tour pack (dark blue), a second set of white fiberglass bags, leather bags, three seats, two carbs - one original and one S and S, and miscellaneous parts. In 2014, we got the bike running again with new battery, cleaned fuel system, changed fluids, rear tire, and tune-up. The bike seems very complete and original but I am sure that it has been repainted many years ago. It needs cosmetic attention to be more than a driver. I have sold similar bikes for a lot more but am downsizing. Serious inquiries only, please. |

Harley-Davidson Hires ex-GM Engineer Federico
Thu, 08 May 2014Harley-Davidson has hired a former General Motors engineer and executive, most recently recognized for leading the automaker’s internal investigation of its ignition switch fiasco that resulted in a recall of 2.6 million vehicles. Jim Federico retired from GM on May 5 after working in various roles with the company over nearly four decades, most recently as executive director of global vehicle integration. Federico will join Harley-Davidson on June 2 as vice president of engineering.
Harley-Davidson Reports Q4 2011 Results
Tue, 24 Jan 2012Harley-Davidson reported a 10.9% growth in motorcycle sales in the fourth quarter and a total annual growth of 5.9% for 2011. The growth resulted in a net profit of $599.1 million for Harley-Davidson. The Motor Company sold 235,188 motorcycles in 2011, up from 222,110 units sold in 2010.
Japanese Bike Shop Giving Away Harley-Davidson with Life-Sized Anime Character
Mon, 15 Apr 2013Japanese shop Bike-O is holding a draw with a rather unique grand prize: a used 2008 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide with a life-sized figure of anime character Fujiko Mine from the long-running anime and manga series “Lupin III“. We’re not sure whether the motorcycle or the statue is supposed to be the bigger prize here, to be honest. Obviously, we’d rather have an actual road-worthy Harley-Davidson Electra Glide with a custom “champagne pink” paint job.
