Harley-Davidson Touring description

First the important stuff: 96ci, 6 speed transmission, true dual exhaust with Vance and Hines slip ons. The prior owner did the stage 1 kit, and the hyper-charger. Last fluid change was about 300 miles ago and it also got new Michelin Commander 2 (front and rear). It was tuned in April at Tecumseh Harley and I have the dyno sheet for anyone interested. The stock radio was serviced by Iron Cross 2 years ago, and they installed a blue tooth module while they had it. A new starter was installed by Tecumseh HD in March. Prior owner added lots of chrome accent pieces to the inner fairing.

The lights are all LED for safety sake (even the fender tip lights). The headlight and aux lights are manufactured by Trucklite (if you have been watching Kuryakyn overwraps them and sells them as Phase 7, but it's the same light). The turn signals are white driving lights for the front and red for the rear until the turn signal is pushed then the yellow flashes. The rear turn signals also work as brake lights. The LED brake lights in the tour pack flash three times before going steady to catch the attention of the driver behind you.

The stock radio works as do the stock speakers. I have a front and rear headset that we can discuss. The rider can hear the radio through the headset but the CB and Intercom only work for rear passenger for some reason. The passenger can talk to you but you don't have to say anything back!!

She runs great and has lots of miles left in her. NADA "average" says $11,100. This bike is so much more than average and turns both heads and ears.

EICMA 2013: Harley-Davidson Revolution X 750 & 500 First Impressions Video

Tue, 05 Nov 2013

Bred in America, built in India the new Revolution X platform is meant to be Harley’s new price point model. The two motorcycles feature the new liquid-cooled Revolution X engine, a narrow, agile chassis with a low seat height (26.3 inches), new suspension, a wide handlebar and minimalist styling. Not all markets will get both engine sizes, but the U.S. will. The 500 costs $6700 and the 750 is $7500.

Fundraising Harley Prints By 8-year-old MDA Ambassador On Sale

Tue, 10 Sep 2013

MDA Ambassador Reagan Imhoff wanted the artwork she created with Harley-Davidson designer Mathew Hintz to “raise a lot of money for MDA so we can have more scientists to make medicines.” The original drawing of a purple Harley-Davidson Softail Breakout motorcycle brought in $3500 on August 31 at the MDA auction during the 110th Anniversary Celebration. The pair hopes to raise even more with sales of the limited edition, signed prints, available through www.HintzStudios.com. “I’m happy our artwork raised some money, and hope we sell all of the prints!” said Reagan, who has Spinal Muscular Atrophy, a painful neuromuscular disease.

Most Obvious Press Release Of 2013: Biker Chicks Sexier Than Pedestrians

Tue, 31 Dec 2013

In a misallocation of funds Harley-Davidson recently spent an untold buttload of money proving something men have known for years: That women who ride motorcycles are sexier and better between the sheets than women who don’t ride. Common responses from male motorcyclists to the press release were: Duh; Tell me something I didn’t already know; Can I be a recruiter? Meant to entice non-riding females into the Harley-Davidson army by pimping the Bar & Shield’s website, www.h-d.com/women, the press release was peppered with effeminate catchphrases such as “physical intimacy, “communication,” and “improves relationships” but the basal message is one of female motorcyclists being sexier, happier and more confident than their non-riding counterparts.
