Harley-Davidson Touring description

The bike is an Peace Officer Edition.  There are not too many of this particular 2 tone color out there and it is a very sharp bike when polished up.  Fuel Injected and has Vance & Hines Fuel Pak running.  Not stock exhaust. It is a slight bit louder than stock, but in no way over bearing.  Nearly all Harleys flying by our place here are louder.  Has battery tender, some after market accessories, see pics.  Alarm, stock am/fm/cd/cb/intercom. 2 fobs/keys, manual.

No known mechanical problems.  Left rear speaker is out.  Bike does need a little general maintainance.  All oils need to be changed and tires need to be replaced. Tthe new owner can do it and know exactly what is in the cases and pick the tires they want on the bike.  The tires are not bald, but it is getting to be time.  I am the second owner.  I bought the bike with about 18k mileage.  Had a Softail I rode more except when the wife wanted to go along so I have not put a ton of miles on bike.  Couple of rubber pieces missing on foot work.  These can be found at J&P.

Any questions shoot me an email.  Need any more specific pics--just ask, I'll email to you.

Payment: 500 Deposit via Paypal: Balance in Cash, Money Order or Personal Check.  Bike does not leave here until the bank says the funds are cleared.

Shipping or Pickup?  I will be completely available to assist any shipper you choose to move the bike.  I have used Keyboard Carriage 2x and highly recommend them for both price and customer service.  If you want to ride the bike home, you could fly into Portland airport, about 20 miles south of me, I'll meet you at the airport with the bike.  Or you could trailer it home.  Anyway you choose the total cost is covered by the buyer.

Harley-Davidson Wire Sculpture

Thu, 12 Nov 2009

Contemporary Artist Derek Kinzett is based out of the U.K. and works with wire to create some stunning sculptures. I cant imagine how long it must have taken to make this Harley-Davidson replica but I am sure he is well compensated.  Kinzett has even been commissioned by Nicolas Cage, hopefully he received his payment before Cage’s IRS bill came in…

Antiques Roadshow Visits Sturgis Motorcycle Museum

Wed, 17 Apr 2013

While on location in the Black Hills of South Dakota, PBS’s Antiques Roadshow stopped by the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum to film a segment on motorcycle toys. In the segment host Mark L. Walberg talks with vintage toy expert Noel Barrett about various American-made, antique, cast iron motorcycle toys. Barrett shares the history of these early toys, some tips about how one might tell a reproduction from the real thing, and offers his valuation on several highlighted examples. Walberg also takes a ride on a vintage Harley-Davidson Servi-Car.
