Harley-Davidson Touring description

I am selling my 03 FFSE. I am the original owner and bike has clear title. Bike has been stored winters at local Harley dealership.  Majority of the service has been done there and paperwork is available along with proof of purchases. I have been constantly adding bling to this bike since the day I got it. I hate to see it go, but I want to sell it to update some stuff on my home. This bike has some mileage on her, but I would trust it to go anywhere. Runs great!  My last big trip was last  August out to Pennsylvania and I put on 1500 miles.   I will list as much as I can recall and let the pictures speak.  Lets do the engine first, It has a 95 kit with dome pistons, Manual compression releases, 211 cams, RSD aircleaner, Bassani power curve exhaust that is a true dual system with Jackpot mufflers which are locally made. Power commander has been installed to accomodate the changes. Bike was dyno tuned after the changes and I have the paperwork. I have had the hydraulic cam chain tensioner update with new chain shoes. It has the auto tensioner in the primary. It had a new heavier clutch installed with the engine upgrade. I have added an oil cooler with aux cooling fan system. I took out the air temp guage and installed an oil temp guage in its place. The sending unit for this guage is in the pan to get a more accurate temp of the oil rather than behind the side cover where the sender can be over heated. While the engine work was being done, I had the heads and jugs sent out and were "diamond cut".   OK, on to the chassis. I have many chrome covers and there are chrome "hot toppers" in many places. Tires are new. Front forks are chrome with a flush mount axle set up that can be seen in pics. Rotors were updated to floating type with chrome spacers. Calipers are chrome with braided lines and chrome bolt covers. Wheels are OEM but were custom painted to match bike and the trim is hand polished. Headlights are updated and chrome brackets were installed to get rid of the crossbar. Turn signals were updated with the bullet style and the rear bracket was replaced with narrower one. Inner fairing was custom painted to match bike. Klockwerks windshield, chrome guage bezels, chrome switches. I added cruise control. Radiois OEM and has single CD player and has under fairing antennae. I left rear mount on and was going to put a flag mount there, but just didnt get to it. Speakers are J&M.  Fairing mounted mirrors have the late model blind spot. I also added the adjustable late model air deflectors. The only 100th anniversary items I added were the gas tank fill cover which is etched, and the timing cover. The only factory badging that came on these biek for the 100th was on the front fender and on the left side of the engine case. The seat buttons were replaced with dress uniform FD buttons.  The dash is custom made diamond plate.  Other customs made diamond plate includes the rear foot rest fillers, the plate on top and sides of the bags, the license plate mount, the inner bag fillers and of coarse the tailboard and trim.  This was all HAND MADE! Cannot be purchased. Bike had lighted spoilers on both tourpack and bags. I also have installed a remote fill site for the rear air suspension on the license plate mount so you dont have to remove the bags to adjust air pressure. Tourpack has the updated "smooth" chrome hinges. Bike had battery tender set up with tender.  It has a very discreet receiver hitch under the tailboard with hard wired light harness for trailer.  The trailer is a mid 90's Caravan that is no longer produced.  I am the second owner of that. It was black and was a factory "second" as it had cosmetic issues. I repainted it to match the bike and added matching pinstriping. Comes with spare tire.   Extras that are going with this bike is a cover, service manual, hydraulic  motorcycle jack. I also have kept all of the parts that I have replaced on the bike. So there is a couple of boxes of "stuff" cables, brake lines, pistons, exhaust, windshield, etc, etc. basically all of the OEM parts that were replaced.

I just noticed that in the pic of the front of the bike, the decal looks faded out, it is not, that is a glare issue with the camera. It is HD's FFSE emblem and is intact. I also noticed that the pics look orange. That is not the case the color is red and the bike and trailer do match.

Other info, pic of odometer is showing 57105, I went for a ride this week and its now at 57325.  I dropped my camera trying to get a non blurred pic and wrecked the camera so I decided to update this way.

On to the other details.  I require a $500 deposit upon winning auction. The rest can be arraged by cash, certified bank check, or because this is a large purchase,  I am williing to work with your bank and have the money wired from your bank to my bank. Winner will be given my phone number and we will work out pickup/delivery arrangements.   Please email me with any questions BEFORE you bid/offer!  SERIOUS BIDDERS ONLY!!!  If you dont want to purchase, then dont make an offer. Last guy made an offer and then bailed.  Thanks for looking!

Harley-Davidson-Powered Toyota Prius for Sale on eBay

Fri, 04 Apr 2014

“If you are the type to whine about undisclosed damage after the completion of the sale, don’t friggin’ bid on this. While the title and the donor car itself are 100% clean and (despite appearances) there’s no previous accident for this car, consider it a total POS. That about sums it up.” Not exactly a ringing endorsement for a used car, but that’s the description left by the owner of a 2008 Toyota Prius equipped with a Harley-Davidson Sportster engine.

New Delhi Auto Expo 2012 – Motorcycle Manufacturers Draw Battle Lines for World’s Second Largest Market

Mon, 09 Jan 2012

In past years, the biennial Auto Expo in India slipped under the radar while the industry was focused more on shows such as EICMA in Italy and Intermot in Germany. But with India’s middle class starting to flex its financial muscle while other markets continue to struggle, the New Delhi show is becoming much more prominent, with major OEMs positioning themselves to claim a piece of the India’s 13 million vehicles-a-year market. We’ve already looked at India-produced Royal Enfield’s new Thunderbird 500 and Hero Moto’s hybrid scooter concept which debuted at the Auto Expo, and today we’ll look at what the major international OEMs presented.

Zero Motorcycles has promoted Abe Askenazi to the position of chief technology officer. A former Buell engineer, Askenazi joined Zero Motorcycles in 2010 as vice president of engineering where he played a vital role in developing the company’s 2011 line-up, overhauling over 80% of Zero’s existing electric motorcycle line-up while adding the Zero XU and street legal versions of the Zero X and Zero MX in just 10 months on the job. “Abe’s ability to effectively execute on an aggressive product development plan, select the best new technologies and rally his team is remarkable.
