I bought this bike from a buddy a while back, because I always wanted (or thought I did) a Harley and this was in such nice condition and set up the way it was. I ride a Honda Goldwing 1800 and was going to sell it and determined that I prefer my Honda… yes I know I will probably burn in hell for it.... The bike is turn-key as it sits. It has just over 42000 miles on it and runs great! Everything on it works as it should. It looks pretty similar to a new one for WAY less money. The Road King Classic (FLHRCI) came standard in 2002 with a Fuel injected Twin cam 1450CC motor, electronic cruise control, and a detachable / height adjustable windshield, and leather covered hard saddlebags. The pearl white paint is just about perfect, no dents or dings, just a few MINOR scratches on the rear fender near the lower chrome trim piece. In some pictures it looks a little yellow, it isn't...just the sun. The chrome wheels are very clean as is the motor BUT there is a couple of minor pitted spots on the chrome on the engine (front valve cover and timing cover) BUT it is not really noticeable unless you look for it. Other than just normal wear on a bike of this age. It has recent brake pads and a Mobil 1 oil change. It has always had Mobil 1 motorcycle oil's in it. No LEAKS either. The tires are in good shape but the rear is starting to show some wear. It is FAR from bald but it isn’t new either. The front looks like it has lots of life in it. I have the owner’s manual for both the bike and radio as well. There is NO evidence of any crash damage or repairs and looks just about like it did on the showroom floor. At a HD dealer this would probably be $10K+ based on what I have seen simply going to a few HD’s dealer web sites and looking at their used bike listings. A few neat options on this particular bike are: HD optional alarm system with remote key fob, factory detachable backrest and a driver’s backrest (also detachable but not shown in the pictures). Also Kuryakyn highway pegs and grips and HD custom rear passenger pegs. It also had a dealer installed “stage one” kit installed which consists of: slip on pipes…they are not super loud, but sound very nice, a high flow air filter and a computer upgrade. Other than that the bike is all stock. I have some leather pieces that snap on the front crash bars to divert the air off you in the cold weather as well. AND for you music lovers… it has a cool (very expensive in its day) HD “road tech” AM/FM stereo system that is mounted to the bars. It can be heard at highway speeds, sounds great and has an auxiliary input for your music device. The bike has a CLEAN, not reconstructed, Massachusetts title, NOT in my name (with an odometer discrepency, see below.) It can be easily transferred to a new owner. I have a bill of sale from my buddy to prove my ownership. I have ridden it about 500 miles on a dealer plate from the dealership I work at and decided my Goldwing suits me better. It is a beautiful bike but simply not for me… I was going to title it but in my LOVELY state they charge you 75 bucks + 6.25% of retail book value just to obtain title in your name and I couldn’t justify it since I am not going to keep it. When my buddy bought it and they were exchanging cash/paperwork the original owner had accidentally wrote the wrong mileage on the mileage section of the title and then crossed it out and wrote the actual mileage above it. A BIG NO NO in Massachusetts. ANY corrections or mistakes are not allowed... In LOVELY Massachusetts the RMV is one of the most difficult ones to deal with in the country ( just TRY to get a title for a vehicle that is lost or missing or bought from a non title state )...everything is about $$$ (imagine that) and to fix it the seller would have had to re-apply for a new duplicate title, pay another duplicate title fee...( if i remember correctly is 75 bucks and wait for it for weeks) and then "re-sell" it to him when it arrives. OR the registry clerk told my buddy that they can avoid all that and register it that day and just put 999999 in the mileage section (which makes the title state: odometer discrepancy). My buddy said “no problem” so that is what the title says. He never gave it a second thought. A SALVAGE OR RECONSTRUCTED TITLE means it was wrecked and written off from an insurance company and sold to someone who then repaired it and had it looked at by the state (at least in Massachusetts) to prove it is roadworthy. BUT it will always carry that with it from that point. This bike was never wrecked. To me condition says more about a vehicle than what the odometer actually says. To me this bike could pass for a lot less mileage then it shows and I believe to be correct. On any used bike who knows how many miles are ACTUALLY on it? Unless you bought it new or know who did, it is a crap shoot at best. On this model and most new bikes the odometer is electronic and the mileage is simply stored in the speedo's assembly memory. It could be swapped very easily with another one with much lower or even 0 miles on it. The "discrepancy" did not concern me either. The condition of the bike sold me on it. BUT IF ANY OF THIS concerns you PLEASE look for another bike! Potential buyers are more than welcome to see the bike in person and if someone does buy it sight unseen and comes to get it and I have misrepresented it in any way... You do not have to take it . The bike is located in central Massachusetts. Shipping/delivery is the buyer’s responsibility but I will help out any way I can…within reason. Payment would be preferred in cash if you are picking it up in person, otherwise we will discuss payment options. I can hold the bike for a reasonable amount of time for you to do whatever you need to do to arrange how you are going to pick it up.. I could even pick you up at the airport for a fly and ride home deal... Assuming you read this far I thank you for looking!
