Harley-Davidson Touring description

This bike was recently surplused by the US National Park Police in Washington DC. It starts easily and runs well. It has some "Screaming Eagle" features, including extra chrome, Power Commander fuel computer, and Screaming Eagle air intake. It may also have other Screaming Eagle features, but I am not aware of them. It it could talk, it would have some fascinating stories to tell. Presidential inaugurations, parades, dignitaries, etc.  It is a piece of history as it is. Ride it "as is" or use it as the basis for a project bike.  I pictured it without the horn as it came without it (siren instead), but I will install the horn before delivery. The fairing and saddlebags have some scratches, but nothing a little wet sanding and paint won't fix. Questions? Call 601-799-1876 and ask for Mark.

Gymnast on a Harley….Wow.

What happens when you take away a smokin’ hot gymnast’s balance beam and replace it with a Harley-Davidson Fat Bob? It’s only 30 seconds but who’s to stop you from playing it over and over again? Now what would be even more amazing is if there was a dude riding that bike on the highway while she did that.  What would be a million times more amazing would be if that dude was me.

New Harley-Davidson Book Ties Together The Company’s Past

Thu, 08 May 2014

Margie Siegal, former columnist for IronWorks Magazine and motorcycle enthusiast has written a book on the history of the world’s most famous motorcycle, Harley-Davidson. Entitled,  Harley-Davidson: A History of the World’s Most Famous Motorcycle, the book ties together the mechanical evolution of the Harley engines, the social history of Harley and the beautiful visuals associated with Harleys in design, advertising, artful photography and collectibles. Harley-Davidson are words that evoke the open American road and the “Made in America” tradition like no others.
