This 2001 Harley Davidson FLHTCU Electra Glide Ultra Classic has been accessorized with chromed front forks, highway bars with pegs, rider backrest, saddle bag guards, and dual exhaust. This bike was a trade in here at Fort Worth Harley Davidson. The bike does start and has not been through our shop. It is sold AS-IS with no warranty implied or otherwise. NOTICE TO BIDDERS: While we make every effort to accurately describe our vehicles, please understand you are purchasing a used motorcycle. They come with no warranty expressed or implied from our dealership. Fort Worth Harley does offer extended warranties at an additional cost for your peace of mind. We encourage all buyers to look at the bike in person or order an inspection by a third party prior to the auction ending. PAYMENT TYPES: Certified Funds, Cash in Person, Bank Financing FEES: All buyers will be charged a $125 documentary fee. This helps us with costs associated with title and bank paperwork. There is also a state required vehicle inventory tax. It is charged at a rate of .002390% of the selling price, which equates to $23.90 for every $10,000 of purchase price. Buyers will also be responsible for all state and local taxes and fees. TERMS: A $500 non-refundable partial payment is due immediately. Buyer must contact our office within 24 hours of auction close. The balance must be received within 7 Business days. All checks are subject to 10 day hold. Fri, 09 Aug 2013For sale on Ebay right now are two original Harley-Davidson Sportsters ridden by legendary stuntman Evel Knievel in the film “Viva Knievel!“ Click here to see the Ebay listing, which ends on Monday, August 12. The first is the “Flying Eagle” Strato-Cycle, which is one of two used in the movie. The bike is complete with full documentation including original sales invoice from Harley-Davidson in 1977, which certified (with matching VIN numbers) and specifies that it was used in the Viva Knievel movie.
Harley-Davidson Reveals “Twin-Cooled” Engine with Precision Liquid Cooling
Mon, 19 Aug 2013As we gleaned from recently revealed CARB documents, Harley-Davidson has introduced two new liquid cooled engines. The new engines use a combination of air-cooling and precision liquid cooling, similar to what BMW did with its 2013 R1200GS. One version of the engine, dubbed the Twin-Cooled High Output Twin Cam 103 will be used on the 2014 Harley-Davidson Ultra Limited and the Tri-Glide Ultra trike while the CVO Limited will use a 110ci engine known as the Screamin’ Eagle Twin-Cooled Twin Cam 110.
