First let me say this. This girl has gotten me across country twice, once from Boston to Anchorage. She has never let me down. She is made for the man who wants to get out on the road and just enjoy the present. I am actually quite sentimental about selling her but the temptation to ride is to strong.
Due to a non motorcycle accident I am not able to ride anymore. Any biker knows this is like having a limb removed. 1. The front tire needs a new tube 2. A battery is needed 3. A tune up is needed. Currently not turning over due to dead battery. But here is where this bike is not like any other bike you have ever ridden on. It has been driven, not trailered, in all 49 states, yes including Alaska. Up until this year it was meticulously taken care of. It had to be to make it through all those states. There are no major problems and the only problem it ever had was the cam tensioner chain broke. Other than that the belt driven beast made it through the gravel of the Yukon. So if you are looking at Harley with some history, I am talking real history this road king is for you. I do have some wiggle room on the price since it will need to be towed away. Thu, 29 Jan 2015This amazing motorcycle was built in just four weeks in a workshop located 300 kilometers south of Harley-Davidson's Indian factory. The project came to life thanks to the efforts of Rajputana Customs and H.-D., which provided Street 750 as a donor. The first upgrade to the bike was a Suzuki GSX-R sport fork with stiffer springs and longer travel.
Harley-Davidson Museum Announces Black Leather Jacket Exhibit
Thu, 09 Feb 2012The Harley-Davidson Museum is opening a new exhibit dedicated to an iconic piece of motorcycle culture: the black leather jacket. The “Worn to be Wild: The Black Leather Jacket“ exhibit will showcase the ubiquitous article from many riders’ wardrobe.The exhibit includes over 100 artifacts including jackets designed by fashion houses such as Jean Paul Gaultier and Gianni Versace, as well as jackets worn by celebrities such as Elvis Presley. “The leather jacket symbolizes different things for each person who wears it, whether they are a motorcyclist, celebrity or a top designer,” says Bill Davidson, vice president of the Harley-Davidson Museum.
