Harley-Davidson Touring description

******FREE SHIPPING*****

***Please note that I only can only ship within Canada.  If you wish to pickup or make another arrangements, please let me know ahead of time.  The listing is supposed to say that I DO NOT ship to the United States, but for some reason isn't showing that setting.  I can ONLY ship to Canada.  Thank-you.***

This bike belonged to my father and was well maintained when he was riding it.  He passed away a few years ago and I stored in my garage after he died.  It hadn't been ridden in a while and I thought it would need some basic TLC (since it had been sitting).   I ended up replacing the battery and spark plugs with brand new ones and cleaned it up but I couldn't quite get it started (it would turn over).

I took it to a great bike mechanic and he was able to start it up right away, so it was running.  I decided to have a few extra things done (recommended) to get it tuned up and back on the road in good shape.  As I mentioned, it has a new battery and new spark plugs.  The air filter and carburetor have been cleaned, the rear brakes have been freed up/cleaned and the front brakes have a new brake kit on them.  Also, the inside of the gas tank has been completely redone/refinished to make sure that there is no rust.

So for just for a quick rundown, the bike is working great and the following has been done:

    Oil change
    New oil filter
    New battery
    New spark plugs
    Air Filter cleaned
    Carburetor cleaned/carb kit
    Rear brakes freed up/cleaned up
    Front brakes (New brake kit)
    Gas tank completely relined

The original owner's manual and official Harley service manual are included.  If you'd like to see closer pictures of anything or have any questions, please let me know.

There is an extra seat and 2 backrests which I believe belong to this.  There is also a black fairing with an eagle on the front, and black trunk which both belonged to an 1975 FLH, but I think they fit on this bike and will be included if you like.  Since I'm not positive if any of this will fit 100% for sure, I'll just include them if you want and call them a bonus :-) .

I'll need to make sure the payment clears my PayPal, as well as my bank from there, (usually another 3 days).  As I said, I'm including free shipping, but I haven't ever shipped something like this before.  I will promise to get it to you safe for sure, one way or the other.  I may even find it more cost worthy to just rent a cube van and drive it to you myself.  Just please understand that it might take me a week or so to get everything arranged.  I don't expect much longer than that.  If you have suggestions or preferences on how to deliver it, I'm sure we can come to an agreement.  It will be my expense, unless you want me to rent a helicopter or something similar, and they you can pick up the tab :-) .

Please only bid if you plan on buying this.  I don't mind sending any close up pictures or videos.  I can only tell you what I know about the bike.  I will be selling it as is because I won't know after the fact what happens to it... Saying that though, if there are any problems that need worked out, I think you'll find I am fair, (but I won't be taken advantage of either :-) ).  Please feel free to ask questions as many times as you like.  I realize this is a big purchase and I want to accommodate the best I can.

There are always things that can be improved on bikes.  This one isn't perfect, but after taking it to my mechanic, he assures me that it's road worthy and in great shape.  He said that someday, a new carburetor wouldn't hurt, as well as a new voltage regulator.  He said everything is fine for right now, but that's what he'd recommend in the future.  There are regular scrapes and tiny scratches, but for the most part this bike is in excellent shape.  I tried my best to capture everything as it is in the pictures.  Again, if you'd like to see anything up close (or closer), or anything in particular, I'll be happy to help.  If you have any questions at all, I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Also, the KMs on the bike show just 189.  I'm not sure if the bike had it's engine overhauled, or it maybe it was an American bike and they changed it over for KMs.  I'm not positive on how to check this, but if you know how and can do so by the VIN, please just let me know and I'll send it to you.

I will ship anywhere in Canada, as long as it isn't too far away from major cities.  If you aren't sure, please let me know :-) .  I cannot ship outside of Canada.  If you want to pick up with cash within 3 days of auction, that would be fine as well.  If you wish to pay by bank transfer, we can see what we need to do to make that work.  I will give you a discount if you pick this bike up yourself, or if you make arrangements on your own for shipping.  Something about liability will have to be signed to cover my end.  If not, I will make all arrangements after money is paid.

Thank-you!

J-D.
