1992 Harley Davidson Electra Glide Ultra Classic
-Extremely nice 2 owner bike. I purchased the bike from the original owner with 14k miles on it and have owned it ever since. It now has just under 99,200 miles and on it and has been exceptionally maintained. Not just oil changes. This bike has had the oil, oil filter, trans and primary fluid changed every 5k miles. Clutch and primary adjusted every 5k miles. Steering neck and shifter zirks greased every 5k. Wheel bearings replaced. Waxed every time its washed etc. The Good: -Bike has never been dropped or laid down -Paint is very nice -Bike has always been stored in a garage -No Rust - Bike spent its entire life in Phoenix, AZ until I moved to CA 4 years ago -Currently has just over 99k miles on it and it does not leak! -Clean title with current CA registration both in my name -This bike has been ridden but never abused -Andrews EV27 cam -Supertrapp 2:1 exhaust properly tuned with closed end cap -Stock properly jetted CV carb -Seat foam slightly reshaped and replaced with better density foam (in between firmness of a mustang and a Corbin) by Mean City Cycles -The following have been done in the last 7,500 miles (I have receipts): ---top end rebuilt ---weisco forged Pistons and rings ---S&S lifters ---S&S adjustable push rods ---complete valve job with new guides/seals ---Cylinders .010 over ---Cylinders, heads, lower and upper rocker cover surfaces all decked to ensure no leaks ---cometic top end gasket kit with MLS head gaskets and viton coated steel base gaskets = No Leaks! ---All Balls 1.2kW starter and new solenoid ---New main shaft pulley with updated locking kit ---New final drive pulley ---New drive belt ---New brake pads front and rear. Rotors in great shape ---new battery with 1 year warranty from HD ---good tread front and rear on Dunlop Elite 3 tires The Bad: -Left side saddle bag lid came off several years ago and as a result is scratched. I have an OEM HD NOS unprimed replacement lid that is included. -The seat has about a 1 inch split in the cover -Gas tank has a very small door ding just above the fuel petcock (see pictures) Extras: -The bike will come with an HD OEM luggage set (saddle bag inserts, tour pak inserts, and tour pak luggage rack bag) -The bike comes with a HD OEM seat rain cover -I have all stock parts ever taken off of the bike (exhaust, OEM starter which is rebuildable, etc) Other Details: -Buyer is welcome and encouraged to inspect the bike prior to bidding -I can send additional/specific photos on request -Please call with any questions before bidding. Pope’s Harley Sells for $329,000 at Auction!
Thu, 06 Feb 2014Bonhams auction house in Paris has announced the unexpected results of the auction held today which included a 2013 Harley-Davidson Dyna Super Glide and a leather jacket owned by none other than the Pope. The results were simply astounding. The Pope’s Harley sold for $328,527 to a private European buyer.
Arlen Ness B-Day Bash At Petersen Museum
Fri, 31 May 2013On July 12 the Petersen Automotive Museum is throwing a birthday party for one of motorcycling’s customizing icons, Arlen Ness. The B-day celebration will be followed by a V-Twin Cruise-In on July 13 and punctuated by a summer-long exhibit entitled Arlen Ness: Art on Two Wheels. The July 12th birthday party is open to the public and the $95 ticket price puts you in the company of Arlen and other customizing aristocrats and also includes cocktails and dinner.
Antiques Roadshow Visits Sturgis Motorcycle Museum

In the segment host Mark L. Walberg talks with vintage toy expert Noel Barrett about various American-made, antique, cast iron motorcycle toys. Barrett shares the history of these early toys, some tips about how one might tell a reproduction from the real thing, and offers his valuation on several highlighted examples. Walberg also takes a ride on a vintage Harley-Davidson Servi-Car.
