1987 Harley Davidson "Sportglide" started life as a Tourglide classic but was converted. 100% reliable road ready transportation. Engine was completely overhauled at 100,000 miles with new ultima cases, Harley OEM .020 pistons and rings, .650 Screaming Eagle valve springs and adjustable pushrods, Revtec roller rocker arms and lifters, harley "L" grind cam, steel breather, new clutch and primary sprocket, tensioner and chain, upgraded 32 amp charging system, Mikuni HSR42 carb, reinhardt 2 into 1 exhaust, Metzler front and rear tire with approximately 3000 miles on them (very good), removable windshield. The left saddlebag lid is damaged. I have owned it since 2007 and I am selling it to fund a Drag racing project. Call me at 252-363-1324 and I will be happy to answer any questions. Now the new Harley-Davidson Riding Academy is the only national rider training program hosted by Harley-Davidson dealerships and conducted on an all-new Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Since its inception in 2000, Harley-Davidson’s rider training program has successfully trained more than 350,000 new riders with a premium Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF)-approved rider training experience that guides students on their journey from the classroom to the street with an emphasis on building student confidence on their road to independence.

Mon, 28 Sep 2009Two weeks ago, I took a break from my regular duties gathering news for Motorcycle.com to fly to Germany to cover the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show for our sister site AutoGuide.com. For two hectic days, AutoGuide editor Colum Wood and I scrambled across the massive 6.2 million square foot Messe Frankfurt trade fair compound, running from press conference to press conference to get the latest on exotic sport cars, futuristic concept models and international unveilings from the automotive world. It was heaven for car lovers, but for me, it meant fighting my way through hordes of photogs, auto-journalists and car show models to get the first photos of four-wheeled goodies from MINI, Ferrari and Lotus.
