Harley-Davidson Touring description

Meticulously maintained shovelhead. Always stored in a heated garage under cover on a battery tender. Same owner for over 10 years. The only significant repair in that timeframe was to replace a worn compensating sprocket. Otherwise one of the most dependable bikes I've owned in 30+ years.
Metzeler 880's have just under 1000 miles. Newer HD battery.
Drips a minor amount of oil but not even enough that it requires adding oil during the riding season. Has a few rubs and scratches and a couple small dents.
Owners manual and misc (clutch cover, etc.) gaskets included.
Have an extra set of really nice OEM cylinder heads that I picked up a few years ago. Can be included for a reasonable add'l amount (TBD).
Conservatively, this is one of the most bullet-proof post-AMF buy-back (by the Harley Davidson family) shovelheads around. The FLHS is a less commonly found model as well.
I have a number of shipping options that I can recommend. Buyer pays shipping of course.

Storm Tears Facade Off Colorado Harley-Davidson Dealership

Tue, 09 Apr 2013

A Harley-Davidson dealership in Pueblo, Colo., suffered some serious damage after heavy winds from a spring storm ripped off the wall of the dealership’s second floor. The 34,000 square-foot Outpost Harley-Davidson dealership on I-25 in Pueblo usually features a high front wall that sticks up above the building’s gable roof (see the “before” picture below). The damage occurred early in the morning and it’s not clear at this point if anyone was around when it happened.

Fundraising Harley Prints By 8-year-old MDA Ambassador On Sale

Tue, 10 Sep 2013

MDA Ambassador Reagan Imhoff wanted the artwork she created with Harley-Davidson designer Mathew Hintz to “raise a lot of money for MDA so we can have more scientists to make medicines.” The original drawing of a purple Harley-Davidson Softail Breakout motorcycle brought in $3500 on August 31 at the MDA auction during the 110th Anniversary Celebration. The pair hopes to raise even more with sales of the limited edition, signed prints, available through www.HintzStudios.com. “I’m happy our artwork raised some money, and hope we sell all of the prints!” said Reagan, who has Spinal Muscular Atrophy, a painful neuromuscular disease.
