Harley-Davidson Touring description
1981 FXS revamped into a FLH Police-bike style. Just not enough time to ride so I'm putting it up for sale. This is a no reserve auction. I will cancel bids with less than 10 feedback unless you contact me first. Numbers matching engine, frame and ratchet transmission from a 1981 FXS. Clear clean Mass Title in my name as a 1981 FXS Harley Davidson. Currently insured and ridden daily. Started as a stock FXS that needed some cosmetic and a little mechanical help. Added an electronic ignition and she fires right up and runs great. Excellent throttle response. Front brake works very well, rear juice drum helps. List of parts: - vintage teal and white HD tanks with 70s repop tank decals - new headlight and trim ring - front tire is a vintage snow tire - Pontiac hubcaps on front wheel - Kick and electric start work - rear tire is a real Goodyear from back in the day - juice drum setup in rear with round swingarm - HD saddle bags with knicks and dings and scratches - and keys! - bike rewired, push button start beneath the seat, kicker works too - police style pogo seat - OEM front fender/aftermarket rear fender rattle canned to match the tank - new starter solenoid - new repop taillight - FLH front end with Progressive Springs - new grips - Super E carb rebuilt - old covered shocks This bike gets more compliments and questions than any of the bikes I've had. People think it's an old 50s style bike which is exactly what I was going for. That said this IS an old motorcycle and will need occasional maintenance and upkeep - Carb tinkering, clutch adjustments, timing tuning etc. The paint is far from flawless. The spokes are grimy and dirty. There is NO SPEEDO, NO SIGNALS, NO HORN. The wheels are old and handle as such. The pogo seat is very comfortable and the shocks work well. The bike handles like a big heavy vintage Harley not a GSXR 1000. Please know something about vintage Shovelheads and old motorcycles and be willing to accept that this will not out perform your 2017 Road Glide before bidding. I ride this bike daily and have enjoyed it. I love it but am moving on to a hot rod and can use the coin for that. Shipping is up to the buyer but I can offer a couple companies I have used before. Bike will not leave my possession until funds are cleared. Local buyers are encouraged to come see the bike. PayPal is fine IF AND ONLY IF you agree to pay the fee. Prefer bank check or money order. $250 deposit due within 24 hours of auction closing. Feel free to contact for more info / make an offer, |

Storm Tears Facade Off Colorado Harley-Davidson Dealership
Tue, 09 Apr 2013A Harley-Davidson dealership in Pueblo, Colo., suffered some serious damage after heavy winds from a spring storm ripped off the wall of the dealership’s second floor. The 34,000 square-foot Outpost Harley-Davidson dealership on I-25 in Pueblo usually features a high front wall that sticks up above the building’s gable roof (see the “before” picture below). The damage occurred early in the morning and it’s not clear at this point if anyone was around when it happened.
