Harley-Davidson Touring description
Here today up for auction is a completely restored top to bottom, front to back 1970 Harley Davidson FLH KING of the HIGHWAY repainted in matching original Sparkling
Burgundy with White Panels, bags, fairing, and tour pack.
When I bought this bike it had 48000 original miles and the motor had never been apart. Most of the bike was original. It has matching vin, engine, and frame numbers.
Matching belly numbers 170-5787 and original trans number 34703-65. The motor and trans were completely gone through with all parts showing ware replaced. It now has
10 over pistons. The frame, swing arm, oil tank, battery box, wheel hubs, and many more smaller parts were powder coated gloss black.
The bike is about 95% original. Here is a list of some of the original parts that have been replated, painted, and some that are NOS. Along with the motor, trans, and primary
drive are: Tanks, Fenders, Fairing, Bags, Tour Pack, Wheel hubs, Brakes front and rear with new shoes, Bars, Mirrors, Seat and Skirt are NOS with helper springs and replated rail,
Complete glide front end, New Harley Windshield, Engine guard, Rear crash bars, Complete exhaust system including Mufflers, Footboards, Oil tank, Turn signals, Spot lights,
Dash, New Harley speedo (original has a broken trip knob), Tillitson carb, Chrome Regulator, Bumpers with NOS white rubber inserts, and even an original Michigan license plate.
Parts that are aftermarket are: Bag guards, Rims with Stainless Steel Spokes, Tires, Master and Brake cylinders, all white pegs and footboard rubbers, white grips, chain, and
complete matching set of bag and tour pack locks and keys.
This bike has not been started since the complete restoration. All the electrical has been checked and is working as it should. The timing is set. The carb has been rebuilt
and is set to book specs. No oil or gas has been added. Most bikes I restore go into museums so the buyers don't want gas or oil added. If they go overseas they should not
have gas or oil. Bike is ready for show as is or you can add the gas and oil and it should be ready to start and ride.
With all the costs involved in trying to keep the bike as original as I could I have more invested than I expected. My reserve is far less than my investment.
I have tried to list everything I could about the bike. If you have any questions please ask and I will do my best to answer them.
I will except pay pal for deposit only.

Gymnast on a Harley….Wow.
Mon, 23 Mar 2009What happens when you take away a smokin’ hot gymnast’s balance beam and replace it with a Harley-Davidson Fat Bob? It’s only 30 seconds but who’s to stop you from playing it over and over again? Now what would be even more amazing is if there was a dude riding that bike on the highway while she did that. What would be a million times more amazing would be if that dude was me.
