16,000 miles on this classic. New design to launch the rebirth of H-D from AMF. I put 3,000 miles on it before I discovered that the aluminum casing that the generator bolts to was cracked when the previous owner got backed into in a parking lot. I parked it in my shop in 1996, threw a blanket over it and forgot about it. Somebody needs to put this sweetness on the road again. I even have the Cycle World magazine with the test drive in it. I added Custom Chrome pipes, custom air cleaner, leather saddlebags, and a custom seat. The rest is factory. Haven't run it in 5 years, but she was always an easy start (electric). Accept PayPal. Well, you might not have done that, I know I haven't, but one man who did was Steve Hopkins who built this bike using 7 Harley-Davidson engines some which date back over 100 years. To prove it rides, Hopkins and nine passengers hopped on the bike on Saturday to start the 900 mile ride from Wisconsin to Sturgis.
MSF Begins Year-long Real World Motorcycle Safety Study

For years, the M has been offering free factory tours of its operations in York, Pa., Kansas City, Mo., Tomahawk, Wis., and Menomonee Falls, Wis., facilities. In 2009, Harley-Davidson introduced a premium tour that takes guests into “employee-only” areas called the “Steel Toe Tour” at its Menomonee Falls location.
